Corinthia Hotels Limited (CHL), based in Malta, is the operator and developer for Corinthia hotels in Europe, Africa and The Middle East. CHL operates restaurants such as Rickshaw, and has a spa division. It is wholly owned by International Hotel Investments (IHI). [1]

History

Founded by Alfred Pisani and his family in Malta in 1962 the inaugural hotel, Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard, was first opened as a restaurant and was later developed into a hotel. [2] Pisani has been chairman since the company's inception. [3]

Corinthia has hotels in locations including London, Budapest, Prague, Saint Petersburg, Lisbon, Malta and Tripoli. Projects under the Corinthia Hotels brand are under development in Brussels, [4] Dubai, [5] Bucharest. [6]

The Grand Hotel Prague Towers, formerly the Corinthia Hotel Prague and the Corinthia Towers Hotel, is highrise luxury hotel in Prague's Nusle District, next to the Prague Congress Centre and Vyšehrad Metro station. Its height is 84 m (276 ft), with an antenna spire reaching to 90 m (300 ft). It was built in 1988 as the Hotel Forum Praha, operated by the Forum Hotels division of Inter-Continental Hotels.
