Go Hotels is a Philippine hotel chain owned and operated by Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC). RLC is a subsidiary of the JG Summit Holdings conglomerate, founded by entrepreneur John Gokongwei Jr. As of January 2026, the company operates 16 hotels in various destinations throughout the Philippines.
The chain operates on an "essential value" model, focusing on core amenities for budget travelers. In a move to modernize its portfolio, the company introduced Go Hotels Plus, a designation for refurbished properties within the chain. These upgraded hotels feature refreshed room designs, co-working spaces, and expanded facilities while maintaining the brand's value-oriented positioning. As of 2026, four of the 16 locations have been upgraded to the Go Hotels Plus standard.
Robinsons Land Corporation, the real estate arm of Filipino-Chinese businessman John Gokongwei Jr.'s JG Summit Holdings, first entered the hospitality business in 2004 with the establishment of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, which manages several luxury hotel brands such as the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Holiday Inn & Suites Manila Galleria, Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu, and The Westin Manila. It established a local midscale brand, Summit Hotels and Resorts, in 2009 with the opening of Summit Ridge Tagaytay in Tagaytay, Cavite. The following year, RLC established the Go Hotels brand to take advantage of the growing budget hotel market and offered a "no frills" hotel experience to clients. Most Go Hotels branches are located beside or near Robinsons Malls, the retail arm of JG Summit Holdings. Go Hotels offered rooms bundled with flights of Cebu Pacific, another subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings. [1] [2] [3]
The first Go property opened on May 19, 2010, along EDSA in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila with 223 rooms. It was located beside Forum Robinsons, one of Robinsons Malls shopping malls. [3] [4] The property was later rebranded as Go Hotels Plus Mandaluyong, following Robinsons Hotels and Resorts’ introduction of the Go Hotels Plus brand, which features upgraded amenities and refreshed spaces while retaining essential value pricing. [5] This was followed two years later with the opening of four Go Hotel branches in Puerto Princesa, Dumaguete, Tacloban and Bacolod. [6] The Bacolod property was later rebranded as Go Hotels Plus Bacolod. [7] [8]
In 2013, the company opened two Go Hotels: the 118-room Go Hotels Otis in Paco, Manila and the 167-room Go Hotels Iloilo in Iloilo City. [9] [10] [11] That same year, RLC started offering franchises to potential investors to speed up the expansion of the brand, with the joint venture of Roxaco Land and Singapore-based Vanguard Hotels Pte. Ltd. as the first franchisee. [12] [13]
In 2014, RLC open additional two Go Hotels branches: the 198-room Go Hotels Ortigas in Ortigas Center, Pasig, Metro Manila and the 104-room Go Hotels in Butuan, Agusan del Norte. [14] [15] [16] Three more Go Hotels were launched in 2016: the 183-room Go Hotels Lanang in Davao City (a joint venture with Udenna Development Corporation), the 167-room Go Hotels North EDSA in Quezon City, and the 199-room Go Hotels Manila Airport near Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Parañaque. [17] [18] [19] [20] The company opened another property in 2017: Go Hotels Ermita in Manila. [21] In December 2018, Go Hotels opened its third branch in Mindanao, the 100-room Go Hotels Iligan in Iligan, Lanao del Norte. [22] [23]
In 2020, Go Hotels, along with its sister hotel brand, Summit Hotels and Resorts, announced that it will convert some of its rooms in selected hotel branches into rental office space due to the low demand for accommodations and travel brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines. [24] [25] [26]
In 2022, Go Hotels opened its first Go Hotels Plus property in Northern Luzon with Go Hotels Plus Tuguegarao in Tuguegarao City [27] [28] . Later that year, another Go Hotels Plus property, Go Hotels Plus Naga, opened in Naga City, adjacent to its sister property, Summit Hotel Naga. [29] [30]
Go Hotels, together with Summit Hotels and Resorts and Grand Summit Hotels, participates in the Go Rewards loyalty program operated by Data Analytics Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings, Inc. Under the program, Go Rewards members earn points for every ₱100 spent on eligible transactions, including stays booked through direct channels and select add-ons such as breakfast. Accumulated Go Rewards points may be redeemed at Go Hotels properties nationwide. [31] [32]
