Vienna Hotel Group Limited, operating as Vienna Hotels [1] (simplified Chinese :维也纳精品连锁酒店; traditional Chinese :維也納精品連鎖酒店; pinyin :Wéiyěnà Jīngpǐn Liánsuǒ Jiǔdiàn, "Vienna Quality Chain Hotels," referring to Vienna, Austria) is a hotel chain in China, headquartered in Shenzhen North Railway Station, Bao'an District, Shenzhen.

As of 2012 the chain, which is considered mid-range, has 150 hotels with 20,000 rooms. [2] Huang Deman [note 1] is the founder and chairperson, and Wu Wei is the President and CEO. [3] The English slogan is "High-quality Experience Low-cost payment". The Chinese slogan is "五星体验 二星消费" (wǔxīng tǐyàn èrxīng xiāofèi). [4]

The company operates the brands Vienna Hotel [note 2] , 3 Best Inn [note 3] , Venus Hotel [note 4] and Vienna International Hotel [note 5] . [5] Previously two of the brands were named Venus Crown Hotel [6] and Venus International Hotel [7] . [8]

Huang established the company in Shenzhen in 1993. [2] It was the first Chinese hotel chain to have an "art and music" [note 6] theme. [9] At one time Huang wanted to make a budget hotel chain, since around 2007 budget hotel chains were prospering, but after five years of operations he chose to make Vienna Hotel a mid-range chain. [2] In 2011, the China Hotel Starlight Awards Lifetime Achievement Award [note 7] was awarded to Huang. [10]

Corporate affairs

The company is headquartered in the Vienna International Hotel by the Shenzhen North Railway Station in Longhua District (formerly a part of Bao'an District), Shenzhen. [11] The chain previously had its headquarters in Lüjing Garden [note 8] , Futian District, Shenzhen. [12]

Shenzhenbei Railway Station is one of the four large intercity railway stations of Shenzhen, located in Longhua District. It has 11 platforms and 20 lines. Huangpi District is one of 13 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China, situated on the northern (left) bank of the Yangtze River. The Sheshui enters the Yangtze at Huangpi. The district is primarily rural, but also includes important infrastructure facilities, such as Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and Wuhan North Railway Station, which is one of the main freight stations and classification yards on the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway. The Coastal corridor is a high-speed rail corridor running along the eastern coast of China, stretching from Dalian in the north to Fangchenggang in the south and passing through the cities of Shenyang, Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, Dongying, Weifang, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Yancheng, Nantong, Shanghai, Ningbo. Fuzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Zhanjiang. The Weifang–Qingdao stretch splits into two, one directly connecting Weifang to Qingdao, the other connecting Weifang to Qingdao through Yantai. As apart of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" network, announced in 2016, this corridor is an extension of the Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger railway from "Four Vertical and Four Horizontal" network. The line will comprise a mixture of high-speed railway lines, upgraded conventional rail lines and intercity railways.
