The 2012 Elmbridge Council election took place on 3 May 2012 to elect members of Elmbridge Council in England. [1] This was on the same day as other United Kingdom local elections, 2012.
The Residents' Group on Elmbridge Borough Council was made up of Esher Residents' Association, Hersham Village Society, Molesey Residents' Association, St George's Hill Independents, Thames Ditton & Weston Green Residents' Association and The Walton Society. The colour of the residents/societys/independents in Elmbridge was Green not grey as shown on these pages.
The election in the Esher ward was due to take place on 3 May but was postponed due to the death of the Labour candidate Bruce King. The delayed election took place on 21 June 2016.
Esher is a town in Surrey, England, to the east of the River Mole.
The Labour Party is a centre-left political party in the United Kingdom which has been described as an alliance of social democrats, democratic socialists and trade unionists. The party's platform emphasises greater state intervention, social justice and strengthening workers' rights.

Cobham is a village in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England, centred 17 miles (27 km) south-west of London and 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Guildford on the River Mole. It has a commercial/services High Street, a significant number of primary and private schools and the Painshill landscape park.
Elmbridge is a local government district with borough status in Surrey, England. Its principal towns are Esher, Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge and Molesey.
Thames Ditton is a suburban village by and on the River Thames, in the Elmbridge borough of Surrey, England. Apart from a large inhabited island in the river, it lies on the southern bank, centred 12.2 miles (19.6 km) southwest of Charing Cross in central London. Thames Ditton is just outside Greater London but within the Greater London Urban Area as defined by the Office for National Statistics. Its clustered village centre and shopping area on a winding High Street is surrounded by housing, schools and sports areas. Its riverside faces the Thames Path and Hampton Court Palace Gardens and golf course in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Its most commercial area is spread throughout its conservation area and contains restaurants, cafés, shops and businesses.
Hersham is a village in Surrey, within the Greater London Urban Area and the M25. Its housing is relatively low-rise and diverse and it has four technology/trading estates. The main A3 London to Portsmouth road runs by Painshill on its southern boundary with a roundabout junction. The only contiguous settlement is Walton-on-Thames, its post town.
Claygate is a suburban village in Surrey, England, 13 miles south-west of central London. It is the only civil parish in the borough of Elmbridge.
Molesey is a suburban district comprising two large villages, East Molesey and West Molesey, in Surrey, England, just outside the edge of Greater London and situated on the south bank of the River Thames.
Surrey County Council is the county council administering certain services in the non-metropolitan county of Surrey in England. The council is composed of 81 elected Councillors, the majority of whom are members of the Conservative party. The leader of the council is Tim Oliver.
One third of Elmbridge Borough Council is elected each year, followed by one year without election.
Weston Green is a small suburban village and a ward in the Elmbridge borough of Surrey. This area was, until 1901, a part of Thames Ditton with which it remains contiguous and associated. Weston Green is also contiguous with Esher, which provides the village's closest railway station. The village forms a rough triangle of land along the west side of the midsection of the Hampton Court Branch Line next to Thames Ditton railway station and down to Esher railway station, with the split between the two being the part dual-carriageway, the A309.

The 2010 Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council election took place on 6 May 2010 to elect members of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council in the West Midlands, England. One third of the council was up for election and the council stayed under no overall control.
The 2012 Reigate and Banstead Council election took place on 3 May 2012 to elect members of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council in Surrey, England. One third of the council was elected,. The Conservative party remained in overall control of the council.
The 2013 United Kingdom local elections took place on Thursday 2 May 2013. Elections were held in 35 English councils: all 27 non-metropolitan county councils and eight unitary authorities, and in one Welsh unitary authority. Direct mayoral elections took place in Doncaster and North Tyneside. These elections last took place on the 4 June 2009 at the same time as the 2009 European Parliament Elections, except for County Durham, Northumberland and the Anglesey where elections last took place in 2008.
An election to Essex County Council took place on 2 May 2013 as part of the United Kingdom local elections, 2013. 75 councillors were elected from 70 electoral divisions, which returned either one or two county councillors each by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office. The electoral divisions were the same as those used at the previous election in 2009. No elections were held in Thurrock or Southend-on-Sea, which are unitary authorities outside the area covered by the County Council.
