Foxford railway station serves the town of Foxford in County Mayo, Ireland.
The station is on the Dublin to Ballina service (Direct or Transfer at Manulla Junction). Passengers can travel to Westport by travelling to Manulla Junction and changing trains. [1]
The station opened on 1 May 1868. [2] It was closed in 1963 and reopened in 1988.[ citation needed ]
The line is owned by the state company Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ), and previously by the Midland Great Western Railway. The station has a single track and platform. The remains of a second platform on the western side of the line are still visible.[ timeframe? ]

No buses serve the station directly, but the 430 Citylink bus serves the nearby village of Foxford, which is a 21-minute walk from the station. [3] [4]

Great Victoria Street was a railway station that served the city centre of Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was one of two main stations in the city, along with Lanyon Place, and was nearest to the city centre. The station was situated beside Great Victoria Street and shared a site with the Europa Buscentre, Belfast's main bus station. The railway and bus stations will be replaced by the adjacent Belfast Grand Central station later in 2024. Great Victoria Street railway station closed permanently on 10 May 2024, several months before its replacement was due to open.
