George Michalakis (born 6 January 1988) [1] is a South African attorney of the High Court and politician who served as a Member of Parliament in the National Council of Provinces for the Free State from 2014 to 2024 and currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. He is a party member of the Democratic Alliance. [2] He previously served as a Councillor for the Lejweleputswa District Municipality from 2011-2014. [3]
Michalakis was born in the Free State town of Winburg in January 1988. He completed his matric year at the Winburg High School in 2006 and went on to study an LLB and BA Honours in French at the University of the Free State. [2]
Michalakis drafted the DA's constitutional amendment to introduce a Cyber Commissioner as a Chapter 9 Institution,which was introduced into the National Assembly by Advocate Glynnis Breytenbach in 2023.
He is currently the African representative on the board of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association and previously served in this capacity from 2015-2017.

Petrus Johannes "Pieter" Groenewald is a South African politician who is currently serving as Minister of Correctional Services since July 2024. He has served as the Leader of the Freedom Front Plus since his election in November 2016. He started his political career by being elected Mayor of Stilfontein in 1988. He relinquished the position in 1989 due to his election to the House of Assembly. Groenewald co-founded the Freedom Front in 1994,and served as a Member of the National Assembly until his election to the North West Provincial Legislature in 1999. He returned to the National Assembly in 2001.

Tamarin "Tammy" Breedt is a South African politician who is the national youth leader of the Freedom Front Plus as well as a member of the National Council of Provinces. She was a Member of the Free State Provincial Legislature from December 2017 until May 2019 and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from May 2019 until May 2024. Breedt was married to fellow FF Plus MP Wouter Wessels.

She joined the National Assembly of South Africa in the May 2019 general election.

Mabe is a member of the African National Congress and the party's unsuccessful 2016 Mogale City mayoral candidate.

A member of the Democratic Alliance,he was the youngest Member of the National Assembly at the time of his election to Parliament. Ngcobo served as a DA councillor in the Richmond Local Municipality from 2016 to 2019.
Makosini Mishack Chabangu was a South African politician from the Free State. He is a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). Chabangu was a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2019 until his resignation in February 2023.
