"Get Down on It" is a 1981 song by American band Kool & the Gang. It was originally released on their Something Special album in 1981. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA.
Record World called it a "kinetic dancer" and said that the "chant-like chorus hook is contagious." [4]

The song hit the top 10 of the US Pop and R&B charts in Billboard in early 1982. It entered the UK charts in December 1981 and reached number three, their highest-charting hit in the UK at that time. It spent a total of 12 weeks on the British play list. Ten years later, it was re-released in the UK charts – on the Mercury label – but only charted for a week (at number 69).

In 2004, British pop group Blue recorded the song from their greatest hits compilation Best of Blue , featured Kool & the Gang and American rapper Lil' Kim. The song was released as the second single in Japan and across Europe except in the UK. Blue's version became a hit in mainland Europe, including Spain, where it reached number three and spent eight weeks in the top 20.
Sarah Harris of the Evening Chronicle praised the single scribing "There isn't much to say about this single, apart from yet again we are treated to another great single from hit band Blue. This time they have teamed up with Kool & theGang and Lil' Kim, to produce a great cover of Get Down On It, originally released by Kool & theGang." She continued saying "The whole band seems to be involved, and it's a great song to dance to." [37] Music Week also noted "Blue have added rap sections, most notably a sassy contribution from Lil' Kim, to the hand-clapping funk of James Taylor and the Gangs' original version." [38]

"Whatever U Want" is a song recorded by American singer Christina Milian. It was written by Bradley Spalter, Lambert Waldrip II, Aleese Simmons, Andre Mortion, Khaleef Chiles, James Banks, and Henderson Thigpen and produced by Bradley & Stereo for Milian's second album, It's About Time (2004), featuring a rap verse by rapper Joe Budden. "Whatever U Want" was released as the album's second and final single on September 20, 2004. It stalled at number 100 on the US Billboard Hot 100 but peaked within the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart.
"Seven Days in the Sun" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder, released as the second single from their Echo Park album. It was released on 2 April 2001 and reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart the same month. CD1 of the single includes "Just a Day", which was later released as a single.
"Ladies' Night" is a song by American band Kool & the Gang, released as the first single from their eleventh album of the same name (1979). It is a play on the popular use of "Ladies Nights" at bars and clubs that were meant to draw in more female patrons in order to draw in even more male clientele.

The song was written by Glen Goldsmith, Philip Jackson, Ollie Jacobs and Andre, and produced by Jacobs & Mubs. It features guest vocals from Caribbean rapper Bubbler Ranx. It was first released as a single by Melodian Records in Australia on 14 August 1995 and was issued in the United Kingdom the same year, but it was not until a re-release in 1996 that the song became a commercial success there. The accompanying music video was filmed in Thailand.

"Turn Your Lights Down Low" is a song by Jamaican reggae band Bob Marley and the Wailers from their 1977 album, Exodus. It is the only song on side B of the album that was not released as a single. However, a remastered version featuring Lauryn Hill was released in 1999. "Boy You Knock Me Out" is a song by American actress and singer Tatyana Ali from her only studio album, Kiss the Sky (1998). Written by Kelly Price, StoneBridge, and Nick Nice, the track samples "Summer Madness" by Kool & the Gang and "What You Won't Do for Love" by Bobby Caldwell. Released via MJJ Music and Epic Records on February 1, 1999, the song reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and entered the top 40 of the charts in France, Iceland, Ireland, and New Zealand. The single version of the song, known as the "Big Willie Style" edit, features Will Smith performing a rap.
