The Josephus Wolf House is a Victorian Italianate mansion in Portage, Indiana built in 1875. The farm consisted of 4,500 acres (1,800 ha) in Portage Township, Porter County. It was the center piece of a family farm that included four additional buildings for beef and dairy animals. The three story house has 7,800 square feet (720 m2). The house consists of 18 rooms with pine molding and red oak floors. The main rooms include a formal parlor, kitchen, dining room, sitting room, study and several bedrooms. The main hall includes a walnut staircase. From the second level, another stairway leads to the attic and a white cupola on the roof. The cupola is 45 feet (14 m) above the ground. The cupola provided a view of the entire farm, as well as Chicago on a clear day.
The I & M Building, also known as Colfax Place, is a historic building located at 220 W. Colfax in South Bend, Indiana. It is located next to the Commercial Building. The building, which was built in 1929, originally housed the offices of the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company. The Art Deco building was designed by Austin & Shambleau. The seven-story building is faced in marble on its front first story, limestone on the remainder of its front, and brick on its sides. Terra cotta separates the building's front center windows through the fifth story, while stone with terra cotta features separate the side windows. The building is one of the few Art Deco structures in South Bend and the only "pure" example of the style within its downtown business district.
Vermilyea Inn Historic District is a national historic district located near Fort Wayne in Aboite Township, Allen County, Indiana. The district encompasses one contributing building, the Jesse Vermilyea House, and three contributing structures. The house was built in 1839, and is a two-story, three bay, Federal style brick dwelling. It has an original two-story, four bay, gable roofed wing, a 1+1⁄2-story wood and brick garage addition built about 1945, and a 1+1⁄2-story brick addition built about 2000. The other contributing resources are the visible earthworks of the Wabash and Erie Canal and the timber platform of the canal aqueduct. Its builder, Jesse Vermilyea, opened his house as an inn and tavern and operated as such through the 19th century.
Leander Campbell House, also known as the Judge Brill House, is a historic home located at Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana. It was built in 1858 as a simple 1+1⁄2-story brick I-house. It was extensively remodeled and updated in the Queen Anne style about 1885. It has a slate hipped roof and features a centrally placed three-story tower on the front facade. Also on the property are the contributing summer kitchen and brick garage.
Luckey Hospital is a historic hospital building located in Noble Township, Noble County, Indiana. It was built in 1929, and is a three-story, tall brick building with an attached two-story section. It has a tall parapet and rests on a full basement. The building housed a private medical facility until 1961 and now houses a museum.
Dixie Garage, also known as the Nash Garage, is a historic automobile repair shop located at West Baden Springs, Orange County, Indiana. It was built between 1918 and 1920, and is a large one-story, brick building with a barrel vaulted roof. It is square in plan and features curved parapets and corner piers. Inside the building is a two-story, concrete block structure. The building housed an automobile repair shop until the late-1930s, after which it housed a skating rink, bottling plant, and wood manufacturer.
William Kerr House is a historic home located at Union City, Randolph County, Indiana. It was designed by architecture firm of George F. Barber & Co. and built about 1896. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, Queen Anne style brick veneer dwelling. It has a hipped cross-gable roof sheathed in slate. It features a hexagonal corner tower, gabled three-sided bays, and a wraparound porch. Also on the property is a contributing brick garage.
Stephenson Underwear Mill is a historic textile mill located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1916, and is a three-story, rectangular, nine-bay reinforced concrete building with brick curtain walls. It features a parapet with concrete coping and concrete panels on each side of the front panels. The building was rehabilitated for use as apartments in the early-1990s.
Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity House, also known as Maltese Manor, is a historic fraternity house located at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. It was built in 1920, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, rectangular, Tudor Revival style brick and stone building. It has a truncated hipped roof, parapeted tower, and platform porch extending across the front facade. A one-story kitchen addition was built in 1940, and a three-story addition in 1963. The building was remodeled in 1995, after a fire on the second and third floors. It has housed the Indiana Gamma Omicron chapter of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity since its construction.
North Manchester Planing and Band Saw Mill was a historic sawmill complex located at North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana. The sawmill was built in 1876, and was a 1+1⁄2-story brick building. It was enlarged in 1898, to house the power station of the Browne-Mills Electric Company. Associated with the mill were three brick cottages built in the late-1870s for mill employees.
Henry P. Coburn Public School No. 66 is a historic elementary school building located at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. It was built in 1915, and is a two-story, rectangular, Mediterranean Revival style brown brick building on a raised basement. It has limestone coping and buff terra cotta trim. An addition was constructed in 1929.
The Pennsylvania is a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1906, and is a three-story, double "H" plan, Classical Revival style red brick and grey limestone building. It features a round arched main entrance, wrought iron balcony grills, and terra cotta coping.
The Devonshire is a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1929, and is a three-story, three bay by nine bay, Tudor Revival style brown wire cut brick building. It features a recessed central entrance bay, limestone arched entrance, and brick and stone checkerwork at the third floor level.
Horner–Terrill House is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built about 1875, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, roughly "L"-shaped, Second Empire style brick dwelling with limestone detailing. It features a three-story tower, mansard roof, and round arched openings. Also on the property is a contributing garage.
Manchester Apartments is a historic apartment building in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1929, and is a three-story, Tudor Revival style brick building. It measures 40 feet wide and 210 feet long and features a gable front pavilion with stucco and decorative half-timbering. The building was remodeled in 1971. It is next to the Sheffield Inn.
Test Building, also known as the Circle Motor Inn, is a historic commercial building in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1925, and is a nine-story, reinforced concrete structure with 12-inch thick brick and clay tile curtain walls. It is faced with Indiana limestone and has a three-story brick penthouse and two-level basement. The mixed-use building housed the city's earliest large parking garages.
Spink Arms Hotel, also known as the Lionel Artis Center, is a historic hotel building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1919, and consists of two eight-story, brick towers linked by a one-story connector. It is in the Tudor Revival style and features twin four-story oriel windows on each tower and a crenellated parapet. Behind the building is a four-story parking garage constructed in 1922.
Indianapolis Fire Headquarters and Municipal Garage is a historic fire station and garage located at Indianapolis, Indiana. The Fire Headquarters was built in 1913 for the Indianapolis Fire Department, and is a three-story, Classical Revival style orange-brown glazed brick building with limestone detailing. It sits on a concrete foundation and has a square brick parapet. The Classical Revival style Municipal Garage was built in 1913, and expanded in 1925 with two Tudor Revival style additions.
St. Philip Neri Parish Historic District is a historic Roman Catholic church complex and national historic district located at Indianapolis, Indiana. The district encompasses five contributing buildings: the church, rectory, former convent and school, school, and boiler house / garage. The church was built in 1909, and is a Romanesque Revival brick church with limestone trim. It features two- and three-story crenellated corner towers, a rose window with flanking round arched windows, and Doric order columns flanking the main entrance.
