Lake Francis State Park is a public recreation area located on Lake Francis in the town of Pittsburg, New Hampshire. The state park has a boat launch, visitor center, and playground and offers opportunities for fishing, canoeing on the reservoir and upper part of the Connecticut River, ATV riding, camping, and snow sports. [4] [5]

The park saw its genesis with the transfer in 1976 of 17 acres of land on Lake Francis from the New Hampshire Water Resources Board to the Department of Resources and Economic Development. [3]

The park is 1 of 10 New Hampshire state parks that are in the path of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse, with 3 minutes and 14 seconds of totality. [6]

Mollidgewock State Park is a 46-acre (19 ha) park in Errol, New Hampshire, on the Androscoggin River along Route 16 within Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area. Activities include camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and picnicking. The campground offers 44 tent sites, 42 at the base camp and two at remote sites. There are picnic tables by the river. It is two miles (3.2 km) east of Androscoggin Wayside Park.

Umbagog Lake State Park is a 1,360-acre (550 ha) park in Errol, New Hampshire, on the southern shore of Umbagog Lake along Route 26. It is adjacent to the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge.

Deer Mountain Campground is located on U.S. Route 3 in 1,648-acre (6.67 km2) Connecticut Lakes State Forest in Pittsburg, New Hampshire. Activities include camping, picnicking, canoeing and fishing. The campground is adjacent to the Connecticut River between Second and Third Connecticut Lakes and is just five minutes south of the Canadian border. There are 25 primitive sites. The area is known for moose watching.
