Kazi Nazrul Islam, popularly known as Nazrul, was initially an Indian poet from West Bengal in undivided India, who moved to and took Bangladeshi citizenship poet, writer, musician, and is the national poet of Bangladesh. Nazrul produced a large body of poetry, music, messages, novels, and stories with themes that included equality, justice, anti-imperialism, humanity, rebellion against oppression and religious devotion. Nazrul Islam's activism for political and social justice as well as writing a poem titled as "Bidrohī", meaning "the rebel" in Bengali, earned him the title of "Bidrohī Kôbi". His compositions form the avant-garde music genre of Nazrul Gīti.

The University of Chittagong is a public research university located in Hathazari, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Founded in 1966, it is one of the oldest university in Bangladesh. It is also known for providing quality education to its students. Its 2,312 acres (936 ha) campus is the largest among Bangladeshi universities.

Comilla Victoria Government College is a college in Comilla, Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest and most renowned colleges in Comilla as well as in the Chittagong division. The college is located beside of Ranir Dighi on 32 acres of land including its intermediate and honors section.

Syed Mohammad Aslam Talukder, known by his stage name Manna (মান্না), was a Bangladeshi film actor and producer.

Chashi Nazrul Islam was a Bangladeshi film director and producer. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice for the films Shuvoda in 1986 and Hangor Nodi Grenade in 1997. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2004 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Montazur Rahman Akbar is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter, producer, social activist and entrepreneur. He is known for his work in the Bengali-language film industry, which is centered in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Akbar also fought in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.

Kazi Hayat is a Bangladeshi film director, producer, writer, and actor. In 2023 he performed in Priyotoma, which is the highest grossing Bangladesh film of all-time.

<i>Chandragrohon</i> 2008 Bangladeshi film

Chandragrohon: The Lunar Eclipse is a Bangladeshi film based on a short story written by Indian Bengali author Syed Mustafa Siraj. The film was released 2008 and younger director Murad Parvez first time directed the film. The film features Riaz, Sohana Saba, and Champa in lead roles along with Shahiduzzaman Selim, KS Firoz, Dilara Zaman, Kohinur, Gazi Rakayet, Azom Faruk and Kazi Riton in supporting roles. In 2008, the film won three National Film Awards and including other four awards.

The Bangladesh National Award for Best Film is one of the categories in the National Film Awards presented annually by the Department of Films and Publications, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information in Bangladesh. It is the highest award for films in Bangladesh. This award goes to the producers of the film and is the only category in a year. The award comprises a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of ৳50,000.

Deepto TV is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel, owned and operated by Kazi Media Limited, a subsidiary of Kazi Farms Group. It officially began broadcasts on 18 November 2015, and within two weeks became the most watched television channel in Bangladesh. Its programming mostly consist of entertainment with emphasis on daily drama series. Deepto also broadcasts foreign programming, mainly Turkish drama series.

SM Aslam Talukder, known by his stage name Manna was a successful Bangladeshi film actor and producer.

Abbajan is a 2001 Bangladeshi film directed by Kazi Hayat. It stars Manna and Sathi in lead roles. The film was a remake of the Tamil film Musthaffaa (1996).

"Ammajan" is a Bengali film music released in 1999. This song was used in the 1999 film Ammajan, directed by Kazi Hayat. Ayub Bachchu was the singer, while Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul composed the song. Manna acted and lip-synced in one of the scenes in Ammajan. Through this song, Bachchu became popular in Bengali films.
