This article lists feature-length films and full-length documentaries that were at least partly produced by the Bangladeshi film industry and were released in Bangladesh in 2016. Short films and made-for-TV films are not included. Films are ordered by domestic public release date, excluding film festivals, theatrical releases abroad, and sneak previews or screenings.[ citation needed ]

Alisha Pradhan is a Bangladeshi actress, television presenter, and businesswoman. She rose to prominence as a teenager on television. She later starred in several films, most notably with Emon in director Chashi Nazrul Islam's final two pictures, Antaranga and Bhul Jodi Hoy. Pradhan retired from acting in 2017.

Shamsunnahar Smrity, known by her stage name Pori Moni, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She is considered one of the most popular and successful actresses in the Bangladeshi film industry. In 2020, She was listed in Forbes Asia's "100 Digital Stars".

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Misha Sawdagor</span> Bangladeshi film actor (born 1966)

Shahid Hasan, known by professionally as Misha Sawdagor, is a Bangladeshi film actor known for playing villains. As of 2020, according to him, he has performed in more than 700 films. He won Bangladesh National Film Awards 3 times for his roles in the films Boss Number One (2011), Olpo Olpo Premer Golpo (2014) and Bir (2020). He first got noticed as a villain in the 1995 film Asha Bhalobasha starring Salman Shah. After Shah's death, he continued playing the villain opposite other actors, but failed to achieve any mainstream success or recognition. From 2006 onwards he started playing the main antagonist in a long string of hit movies starring Shakib Khan in the lead role and mostly Apu Biswas as the lead actress, and established himself as a leading antagonist in the Cinema of Bangladesh.

Amit Hasan is a Bangladeshi film actor who was elected secretary general of the Bangladesh Film Actors' Association in 2015. In its review of 2011 cinema, The Daily Star included Amit Hasan among "Other stars that deserve mention". In January 2015 Hasan participated in a strike of Bangladeshi film artists against the screening of the Indian film Wanted in Bangladesh, calling for a boycott of Bangladeshi theatres showing the movie.

Jakir Hossain Raju is a Bangladeshi film director. Besides film-making, he is also a story writer, screenplay and dialogue writer. He won three National Film Awards for the films Bhalobaslei Ghor Bandha Jay Na (2010) and Moner Moto Manush Pailam Na (2019).

Danny Sidak is a Bangladeshi film actor and director. He played the role of Superman in the Bangladeshi adaptation of the 1978 film of the same name.

Asif Imrose is a Bangladeshi actor and model.

Shah Riaz is a Bangladeshi actor and model. He acted in Pagla Diwana (2015), opposite to Pori Moni and in Nagar Mastan (2015) with Pori Moni. And he also acted in Gundami (2016) and Aaral (2016) with the actress Achol; starred in many others, as Shooter (2016), Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe (2017), Crime Road (2017), Chol Palai (2017), Fifty Fifty Love (2018), Bou Bazar (2019), and Protishodher Agun (2019).

Yash Rohan is a Bangladeshi actor, model, and director. his notable works are Swapnajaal (2018), Networker Baire (2021) and Poran (2022). He has tremendous fascination towards physics and wanted to be a physicist in his childhood. Nowadays he is a popular face in all types of entertainment platforms.

<i>Bishwoshundori</i> Bangladeshi film

Bishwoshundori is a 2020 Bangladeshi romantic drama film. It is director Chayanika Chowdhury's debut film. The film is written by Rumman Rashid Khan, and stars Siam Ahmed, Pori Moni, Champa, Fazlur Rahman Babu & Alamgir. The film is produced by Sun Music & Motion Pictures Limited and distributed by Jaaz Multimedia. Masranga Television is the broadcast partner & owns the TV rights. The soundtracks of the film are composed by Imran, Pritom Hasan, Kona, Farid Ahmed and Pintu Ghosh.

Ferdous Ahmed is a Bangladeshi film actor and producer. He acts in Bangladesh and Indian Bengali films. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor 5 times for his roles in the films Hothat Brishti (1998), Gangajatra (2009), Kusum Kusum Prem (2011), Ek Cup Cha (2014) and Putro (2018).
