<i>Devdas</i> (2013 film) 2013 Bangladeshi film

Devdas is a 2013 Bangladeshi romantic period drama film based on the Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay novel Devdas. The film is directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam, who also directed the 1982 version and produced by Faridur Reza Sagar under the banner of his Impress Telefilm, based on the 1917 novel of the same name by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The film is set in the early 1900s and follows Shakib Khan as Devdas Mukherjee, a wealthy law graduate who returns from Calcutta after 13 years to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro, played by Apu Biswas. However, the rejection of this marriage by his own family sparks his descent into alcoholism, ultimately leading to his emotional deterioration and him seeking refuge with a courtesan, Chandramukhi, played by Moushumi.

Shakib Khan is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, occasional singer, film organiser and media personality who works in Bengali films, both in Bangladesh and West Bengal. Khan has prolific career spanning over two decades, during which he has appeared in more than 247 films and described as one of the most successful actors in Bangladesh. Most of his films were commercially and critically successful. Khan is one of the most recognizable star of the present era of Bangladeshi film industry. As one of the most dominant actors in the Bangladeshi movie scene during the 2000s, 2010s and early 2020s, Khan is widely considered as one of the greatest and influential actors in the history of Bangladeshi cinema. He is critically acclaimed as one of the finest actors of Bangladesh. Following his debut in Sohanur Rahman Sohan's 1999 action romantic Ananta Bhalobasha, Khan did not lead to widespread fame, although his on-camera debut was with the Aftab Khan Tulu's romance Sobai To Sukhi Hote Chay, which was released the in following year. Subsequently, Khan established himself as one of the most successful actors in Bengali cinema. The Badiul Alam Khokon-directed Priya Amar Priya (2008) in which Khan played a college student with careless attitude, was a major commercial success in his career, which set several box office records. It is the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of 2008 and also one of the highest grossing Bangladeshi films of all-time. And also the highest grossing film of Khan's career until it was surpassed by his 2023 all-time blockbuster Priyotoma. After the release of the film, Khan gained widespread fame shortly and gained a large number of fan following. He is popularly known in the media as "King Khan" and "King of Dhallywood", also referred as "Number One Shakib Khan". Currently he is the highest paid actor in Bangladesh.

Rangbaz is a 2017 Bangladeshi gangster film directed by Shamim Ahamed Roni and Abdul Mannan. It is produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banners of SVF Entertainment and Ruprong Films Limited. The film marks SVF Entertainment's first Bangladeshi venture and it is also the first film of SVF Entertainment to be only releasing in Bangladesh. The film stars Shakib Khan and features Shabnom Bubly as his love interest. It also features Rajatava Dutta, Amit Hasan, Chikon Ali, and Sadek Bachchu in supporting roles. The film was released on 2 September 2017, to coincide with Eid al-Adha in Bangladesh.

Password is a 2019 Bangladeshi action-thriller film directed by Malek Afsari. The film is produced by Shakib Khan and Mohammad Iqbal, under the banner of SK Films. It features Shakib Khan as Rudra, who, through his autistic younger brother Rusho, played by Emon, comes into possession of the password to a Swiss bank account. Misha Sawdagor stars as Victor, a gangster trying to steal the password. Shabnom Bubly features as Rudra's love interest, Dr. Shabnom. The movie is loosely based on the 2010 French movie Point Blank.

Misha Sawdagor, Fakhrul Bashar Masum, Saberi Alam, Don and others played supporting roles. It is produced by Enamul Haque Arman under the banner of Desh Bangla Multimedia. The film soundtrack is composed by Shafiq Tuhin.

Swatta is a 2017 Bangladeshi romantic tragedy film. The film directed by Hashibur Reza Kallol and produced by Sohani Hossain under the banner of Taranga Entertainment. It is a story written by Sohani Hossain and a screenplay and dialogue written by Ferdous Hassan. The film features Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam in the lead roles and Kabila, Nasreen, Rina Khan, Don and many have played supporting roles in the film.

Shihab Shaheen is a Bangladeshi film director, producer and screenwriter. He made his directorial debut in 2001 with a television drama "Ghurni". He made his breakthrough with the television serial, Romijer Ayna in 2005. His notable telefilm works include X-Factor, X-Factor 2, Bhalobashi Tai, Bhalobashi Tai Bhalobeshe Jai, Monforing er Golpo, Monsuba Junction, Nilpori Nilanjona, Nil Projapoti and Bini Shutor Taan.ers
