Tulu film industry has grown to such an extent that films are being released simultaneously in Mangalore, Udupi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Middle East. The critically acclaimed Tulu film Suddha won the award for the best Indian Film at the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema held in New Delhi in 2006. In 2011, the Tulu film Industry got a second lease of life with the release of the film Oriyardori Asal. The film turned out to be the biggest hit in Tulu film history to date. Chaali Polilu is the longest running film in Tulu film industry. This movie is the highest-grossing film in the Tulu film industry. It has successfully completed 470 days at PVR Cinemas in Mangalore.

Chaali Polilu is a Tulu language film directed by Virendra Shetty Kavoor starring Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil and Bhojaraj Vamanjoor in lead roles. Chaali Polilu is produced under the banner of Jayakirana films by Prakash Pandeshwar. The film has shared valuable messages to society. It reflects upon social evils in society and while providing an ample amount of entertainment to the audience. It is the highest grossing Tulu film of all time.

Arjun Kapikad is an Indian actor and singer, who appears in Tulu films and Kannada film industries. He made his acting debut with the 2012 movie, Telikeda Bolli. He is a frequent collaborater with his father Devadas Kapikad.

<i>Dhand</i> (film) 2015 film

Dhand is a Tulu film directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced by Shodhan Prasad under the banner of Sandhya Creations. It stars Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty, Anoop Sagar, Deepak Paladka, Gopinath Bhat, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor, Shilpa Suvarna, Anvitha Sagar, and Subhash Bangera in the lead roles.

Aravind Bolar is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tulu and Kannada-language films. Bolar began his career in Yakshagana, and he has acted in more than 100 plays and 50 plus films.

Ranjith Kumar, popularly known as Ranjith Bajpe is an Indian film director and Screen Writer known for his work in Tulu cinema. He is best known for directing First International Tulu film Nirel (2014) which won 5 awards including the best movie award at Tulu Cinemotsava 2015. He also written directed Dhand (2015) which is the first Tulu language movie released in Israel Australia and UK. Ranjith Bajpe usually casts new actors for his movies.

Sandeep Shetty is an Indian actor known for his roles in Tulu Cinemas like Dhand, Madime, Ekka Saka and many Dramas and stage performances. He, along with his team, Prashamsa won Bale Telipale, a stand-up comedy contest show on Namma TV for three consecutive years in Coastal Karnataka. Sandeep has performed more than 1000 stage shows in international locations such as Muscat, Dubai, Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as locations within India including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune.

Eregla Panodchi is a Tulu language film directed by Kodlu Ramakrishnastarring Sandeep Shetty, Shivadhwaj, Neethu, Raksha Shenoy, Anitha Bhat, Ila Vitla, Shobha Rai, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sundar Rai Mandara, Ravi Surathkal, Pradeep Alva, Roopa Varkadi, Kavitha Rai, Shashidhar Bellaya, Tamma Lakshmana, Rajgopal Josh and others. Eregla Panodchi is jointly produced under the banner of Kodlu Creations by B.L. Murali and S.K. Shetty. This is 25th film directed by Kodlu Ramakrishna, who directed Kannada and Tulu movies too.

Ice Cream is a 2015 Indian Tulu film directed by Venu Gopal Shetty and Pritham Sagar. Roopesh Shetty and Anvitha Rao stars in lead roles.

Are Marler is an Indian Tulu-language film directed by Devadas Kapikad, who also appears in a supporting role. The film's stars are Arjun Kapikad and Nishmitha. The film was released on 11 August 2017. The film had crossed 100 days at Big Cinemas.

Pruthvi Ambaar is an Indian actor who works in Kannada and Tulu films. He started his career as a radio jockey. His performance in the Kannada film Dia (2020) gained him recognition.

<i>Deyi Baidethi</i> 2019 Indian film

Deyi Baideti – Gejjegiri Nandanodu is a 2019 Indian Tulu-language historical film directed and produced by Suryoday Permapalli. The film is presented by Lakshman K Ameen under the banner of Sankri Motion Pictures. The film's soundtracks was composed by B Bhaskar Rao, while the score was composed by Manikanth Kadri. The film was released on 11 January 2019. The film won Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Regional Language Film, Best Director, and Best Singer.

Magane Mahisha is a 2022 Indian Tulu language film written and directed by Veerendra Shetty Kavoor. The cast of the movie includes Devadas Kapikad, Jyothi Rai, Naveen D Padil, Arvind Bolar and Bhojaraj Vamnjoor in lead roles. Magane Mahisha has been produced by Veerendra Shetty Kavoor under the banner of Veeru Talkies. The movie was released on 29 April 2022. The music of the film is released worldwide by Movietone Digital Entertainment Pvt Ltd under its flagship music label “OnClick Music” in Tulu & Kannada language both.
