Shalini Ajith, also known as Baby Shalini, is an Indian former actress and child artist who predominantly worked in Malayalam and Tamil films. During the 80s, Shalini was the most successful child artist in both Malayalam and Tamil film industry and also in Telugu film industry. After taking a brief hiatus from child acting, Shalini made a come back in 1997 through Malayalam and Tamil language films as a lead heroine. She married popular Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, on April 24, 2000 and retired from films after her marriage.

Nerrukku Ner is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language romantic action thriller film written and directed by Vasanth and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Vijay and Suriya in the lead roles, while Simran, Kausalya, Raghuvaran, Shanthi Krishna, Baby Jennifer, Karan, Vivek, Manivannan and Prakash Raj play supporting roles. This is the debut film of Suriya, the eldest son of actor Sivakumar. Deva and K. V. Anand handled the music and cinematography respectively.

Kaadhale Nimmadhi is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Indhran. The film stars Murali, Suriya, Jeevitha Sharma and Sangeetha. Radhika, Manivannan and Nassar also play significant roles in the film, while Deva composed the soundtrack. The film was released on 14 January 1998.

Kaathala Kaathala is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by P. L. Thenappan. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhu Deva, Soundarya and Rambha. It revolves around two men falling in love with two women, but end up creating a web of lies trying to impress their lovers' fathers.

The Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer is given by the state government as part of its annual Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Tamil (Kollywood) films.

Mu. Kalanjiyam is an Indian film director who has made Tamil films. A winner of the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Story Writer, Kalanjiyam has also featured in the lead role in his films.

Rajakumaran is an Indian film director, who has made Tamil films. He is married to actress Devayani, who he has collaborated with in all his films.

Praveen Gandhi is an Indian film director, and actor known for his works in Tamil cinema.

Aadithyan was an Indian film score and soundtrack composer. He has predominantly scored music for Tamil films apart from working in Telugu and Malayalam films. He sang several songs for his own films and for other composers. He created and released many Tamil Pop & Remix albums in India and Malaysia.

Babu Ganesh is an Indian actor and director, who has worked in Tamil films. In his films, he has often attempted to handle as many aspects related to filmmaking — being credited for story, screenplay, dialogue, lyrics, music, singing, editing, director of photography, acting, special effects, direction, production, choreography and as a stunt choreographer.

Guru Dhanapal was an Indian film director, who worked in Tamil cinema, mostly with actor Sathyaraj.

R. Balu is an Indian film director and screenwriter who has worked on Tamil films. He is the student of Thiruvalluvar college Papanasam He made his debut with the 1997 romantic drama film, Kaalamellam Kadhal Vaazhga starring Murali and Kausalya.

Bhagavath Singh is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language action drama film, written and directed by Chandrakumar. The film stars Napoleon and Sanghavi, while Goundamani and Senthil appear in supporting roles. Music for the film was composed by Deva and the film was released on 20 February 1998.

Paththini is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language drama film, written and directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Jayaram and Khushbu, while Prakash Raj and Janagaraj portray supporting roles. It was released on 26 September 1997.

Seeman is an Indian film director and actor, who has worked in Tamil cinema. He made his directorial debut in 1996, with the Tamil film Panchalankurichi. Since then, he has directed four more films and also appeared in acting roles in films of other directors.

Henry is an Indian film producer and film distributor, who heads the studios Carolina Films and Pangaj Productions.
