Srijit Mukherji is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominantly works in Bengali cinema. His regular collaboration with veteran actor Prosenjit Chatterjee brought him into the limelight. His first feature film Autograph (2010), was a critical and commercial success, where he had written the script with Chatterjee in mind. His fifth film, Jaatishwar, won four national awards at India's 61st National Film Awards (2014). He won the National Film Award for Best Direction and Best Original Screenplay for his sixth film, Chotushkone, at India's 62nd National Film Awards. His eighth film, Rajkahini had been remade into a Hindi film titled, Begum Jaan, starring Vidya Balan in 2017. His 2018 release Ek Je Chhilo Raja won the 'Best Bengali Film' Award at India's 66th National Film Awards. His 2019 film Gumnaami won him the Best Bengali Film and Best Adapted Screenplay Awards at the 67th National Film Awards.

Tahsan Rahman Khan is a Bangladeshi musician, actor and television presenter. He was the former keyboardist and second vocalist of the Grunge and alternative rock band Black. Currently he is the lead singer of his own band called Tahsan and the Band.

Mainak Bhaumik is a Bengali film director, documentary filmmaker and editor. He made his directorial debut with 2006 Bengali film Aamra.In 2012, he made another Bengali film Bedroom, a dark ensemble film about the new generation of young Indians. His critically and commercially successful movies are Maach Mishti & More, Bibaho Diaries, Generation Ami, Cheeni, Ekannoborti.

<i>Kula Deivam</i> (1956 film) 1956 Indian film

Kula Deivam is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju and written by Murasoli Maran. It is a remake of the 1954 Bengali film Bhanga Gora. The film stars S. V. Sahasranamam, S. S. Rajendran and Pandari Bai, while Rajagopal, Chandrababu, S. A. Ashokan and Vijayakumari play supporting roles. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by R. Sudarsanam. Maruthi Rao and Panju handled cinematography and editing respectively.

Prabir Mitra, also known as Hasan Imam was a Bangladeshi film actor. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo in 1982. He also won the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. As of 2019, he has worked in over 400 films.

Anjana Sultana was a Bangladeshi film actress. She performed in more than 300 films. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film Parineeta (1986).

Deepak Adhikari who is widely known as Dev, is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Bengali film industry. He made his acting debut with the Bengali film Agnishapath although it ultimately turned up to be a commercial failure. He later signed up Ravi Kinagi's Bengali film I Love You which was the actual breakthrough for his career in Tollywood.

Arun Roy was a Bangladeshi cinematographer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Cinematography three times for the films Bodhu Biday (1978), Johnny (1983) and Bhaijan (1983). Roy died on 2 January 2025, at the age of 56.

Raihan Rafi is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his directorial debut, Poramon 2 (2018) produced by Abdul Aziz and under the banner of Jaaz Multimedia. The film won awards in three categories at Meril Prothom Alo Awards for Most Critic Movie of the Year, Best Actor and Best Actress. He won Blender's Choice The Daily Star Awards for Best Screenwriter of the film Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi (2021) steaming and released on Chorki.

<i>Projapoti</i> (2022 film) 2022 Bengali film by Avijit Sen

Projapoti (transl. butterfly) is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language family drama film directed by Avijit Sen, produced by Atanu Raychaudhuri, co-produced by Dev and distributed by SSR Cinemas. The film features Dev himself, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Mamata Shankar, Koushani Mukherjee and Shweta Bhattacharya in lead roles.
