Supriya Devi was an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali cinema for more than 50 years. She is best known for her portrayal of Neeta in Ritwik Ghatak's Bengali film Megha Dhaka Tara (1960). She was conferred the Filmfare Award and the BFJA Award twice. In 2011, she received the Banga-Vibhushan, the highest civilian honour in West Bengal. In 2014, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
Sabitri Chatterjee is an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali theatre and cinema. Her career spans more than 70 years. She is the recipient of BFJA Awards for two times. In 1999, she was conferred with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for acting in Bengali theatre. In 2013, she was awarded by the Government of West Bengal its highest civilian award; the Banga Bibhushan. In 2014, Government of India conferred upon her its fourth-highest civilian award the Padma Shri.
Sumita Sanyal was an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali and Hindi cinema. She made her debut opposite Uttam Kumar in Bibhuti Laha's Khokababur Pratyabartan (1960). She subsequently appeared in a series of Bengali films in the 1960s and 1970s. She also enacted a cameo role in The Peacock Spring (1996) which was a BBC Production.

With his wife, actress Molina Devi, he also directed a Calcutta-based theatre troupe, M. G. Enterprises.
Mahua Roy Choudhury was an Indian actress who is recognized for her work in Bengali cinema. She is considered to be one of the most successful actresses of Bengali Cinema. She received several awards including a Filmfare Award. She was posthumously conferred with the Best Actress Award for her role in Aadmi Aur Aurat (1984) at the 5th Damascus International Film Festival in 1987.
Kapalkundala is a 1933 Bengali social family film directed by Premankur Atorthy for New Theatres Ltd. Calcutta. The film starred Umasashi, Durgadas Bannerjee, Manoranjan Bhattacharya and Molina Devi. It is based on Kapalkundala, a famous Bengali novel written by Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay in 1866. This was the second remake of Kapalakundala, the first being made in 1929 by Priyanath Ganguly. The film was made three more times: 1939, 1952, 1981. The film did well celebrating a run of twenty-five weeks.
Annapurnar Mandir is a Bengali social drama film directed by Naresh Mitra based on the novel of the same name by Nirupama Devi. This film was released on 6 August 1954 under the banner of Chitra Mandir and received 2nd National Film Awards in 1954. Uttam Kumar and Sabitri Chaterjee starred in the lead roles, with Suchitra Sen in a supporting role. This film had no music and it was Uttam Kumar's first film to win a National Award.

She acted in several dozen films, mostly in Bengali and Hindi. With actor Gurudas Banerjee, she also directed a Calcutta-based theatre troupe, M. G. Enterprises.
Chhera Tamsuk is a Bengali drama film directed by Purnendu Pattrea based on a novel of Bengali writer Samaresh Basu. This film was released on 1 January 1974.
