Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic comedy drama written and directed by Karan Johar and produced by his father Yash Johar under Dharma Productions. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherji and Salman Khan in lead roles, with Sana Saeed in a pivotal supporting role. The plot combines two love triangles set years apart. The first half covers friends on a college campus, while the second tells the story of a widower's young daughter who tries to reunite her dad with his old best friend.
Raja Hindustani is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Dharmesh Darshan. It tells the story of a cab driver from a small town who falls in love with a rich young woman. Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor play the lead roles. Released on 15 November 1996, the film's plot was inspired from the 1965 film Jab Jab Phool Khile, starring Shashi Kapoor and Nanda. The film's music was composed by Nadeem-Shravan, with lyrics by Sameer. It went on to win five Filmfare Awards, including the awards for Best Film, Best Actors, Best Music and seven Screen Awards.
Sooraj R. Barjatya is an Indian filmmaker who works in Hindi cinema. He has directed and produced some of the most commercially successful Hindi films. His films often include themes of familial ties and values, and are rooted in traditional Indian culture. Barjatya is the chairman of Rajshri Productions, which was formed by his late grandfather Tarachand Barjatya in 1947.

It grossed ₹1,430 crore across all languages in India and grossed ₹1,810 crore worldwide. It stands as the Highest-grossing film in India till date. It was followed by Dangal, which is the Highest-grossing Indian film, expanding the club to 1900 crore, before creating the ₹2,000 crore (US$240 million) club, and becoming the fifth Highest-grossing non-English language film of that time. In 2022, two films released in the span of a month, RRR and KGF: Chapter 2, grossed over ₹1,000 crore at the global box office. The club expanded with movies like Pathaan (2023), Jawan (2023) and Kalki 2898 AD (2024).
