He is credited with directing the critically acclaimed films Vaastav: The Reality (1999), Astitva (2000) and Viruddh... Family Comes First (2005). He has won a National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi for Astitva and two Star Screen Awards. He is also known as host of the reality show, Bigg Boss Marathi since 2018.

<i>Astitva</i> 2000 Indian film

Astitva is a 2000 Indian film made simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi languages, written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The film tells the story of Aditi Pandit, a happily married woman whose husband Srikant becomes suspicious when she unexpectedly receives a fortune willed to her by her former music teacher, Malhar Kamat. Srikant Pandit tries to figure out why she had received inheritance from Kamat, many years after the music classes had ended, and subsequently makes a discovery.

Imtiyaz Husain is an Indian film writer. He wrote the 2000 film Astitva with Mahesh Manjrekar.

Jhamu Sughand was an Indian film financier, producer and distributor, in mainstream Bollywood, as well parallel cinema. He is most known as producer of Academy Award-nominated Lagaan (2001), Satya (1998), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Aks (2001) and Bombay (1995).

Kishore Nandlaskar was an Indian actor, who is noted for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema. He was a known personality in the Marathi film industry, who mostly played comic characters. Nandlaskar made his debut as an actor in the Marathi cinema with the 1989's film In'ina Dika. He is known for his work in films like Khakee (2004), Vaastav: The Reality (1999), Singham (2011), Simba, Miss U Miss, Gaon Thor Pudhari Chor and Are Soda Batali Bai.
