Hara Pattanaik, also known as Hari Patnaik, was an Indian actor, director and screenplay writer known for his works in Odia cinema. He has acted over 60 Odia-language movies and directed about 19 others. Pattanaik was instrumental in introducing other actors including Anubhav Mohanty, Sabyasachi Mishra and Babushaan. He died of cancer on 13 January 2015.

Tarang Television, commonly known as Tarang TV, is an Odia-language based general entertainment television channel. Based in Bhubaneswar, India, it is owned by Odisha Television Ltd. Tarang is a digitally encrypted 24x7 Odia entertainment channel. It gives viewers family entertainment ranging from family shows to period drama and reality shows. Tarang TV's programming is targeted towards family audiences.

Mihir Kumar Das was an Indian actor who worked in Odia language films of Ollywood industry. He had received several awards, notably Best Actor for his films Laxmi Pratima in 1998 and Pheria Mo Suna Bhauni in 2005 Best Supporting Actor award for his films Rakhi Bandhili Mo Rakhiba Mana in 2002 and Prema Adhei Akhyara and Best Comedian award for Mu Tate Love Karuchhi in 2007 from the Odisha state government.

Devdas Chhotray is an Indian Odia author, administrator and academic. He was the first vice-chancellor of Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha. His work consists of poetry, short stories, lyrics, musicals and screenplays. Chhotray's father Gopal Chhotray, a recipient of Padma, Central Sahitya Akademi and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, was an architect of modern Odia theatre.

Nikhil Baran Sengupta was an Indian Hindi, Bengali, and Odia art director, actor, painter and production designer. He made his debut as an art-director with "Gapa hele be Sata" (1975). His contribution to the success of films such as Janani (1984), Sahari Bagha (1985), Maa O Mamata, Suna Chadhei (1987), Jugantar, Tahader Katha, Bagh Bahadur (1989) and Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002) had always been acknowledged but less talked about.

Dukhiram Swain was an Indian film and television actor. He was one of the most popular villains in Odia cinema and played a variety of roles most notably as the antagonist in many Odia films and various roles in television serials. He was considered to be one amongst the club of natural actors. He won the National Film Award for Shesha Shrabana (1976), the Orissa State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and several "Best Villain" awards from State Film Awards and the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi. He was honoured with the Jayadeva Purashkar of Odisha.

He has also scripted and directed many Docu-Dramas, and telefilms.

Raja Mishra was an Odia film director, actor, screen writer, cinematographer and music director. He was a gold medalist in cinematography from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. In 1986 he directed his first Odia film Jor Jar Mulak Tar and he directed a total of 12 Odia films. He also directed seven Assamese language films.
