The National Film Award for Best Odia Feature Film is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the National Film Development Corporation of India. It is one of several awards presented for feature films and awarded with Rajat Kamal.
Odia cinema, also known as Ollywood, is the segment of Indian cinema, dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Odia language widely spoken in the state of Odisha. Odia Cinema is based in Cuttack in Odisha, India. The name Ollywood is a portmanteau of the words Odia and Hollywood.
Prashanta Nanda is an Indian director, actor and politician from the state of Odisha. He is currently a Member of Parliament at Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, for Odisha. He had worked predominantly in Odia film industry but also worked in Bengali film industry and Hindi film industry extensively. He was also a former minister in Odisha state.
Anubhav Mohanty is an Indian actor, politician, film producer, television personality and social activist who is known for his work majorly in Odia language films. Mohanty has also worked in Bengali films. Mohanty has a significant fan following especially in Odisha. Anubhav Mohanty is the biggest superstar in the Odia film world. Anubhav Mohanty started his career first with the album video then he first got a chance to work in the film Brajraj Movie Banner which was titled I Love You.. This film created history in the Odia film industry. After this, he has given many big hits like Arjun, Sathire, Premi Number 1,Kali Sankar, Chhati Chiri dele Tu, Neijare Megha Mate, Suna Chadhei Mo Rupa Chadhei, Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila, Abhimanyu, Balunga Toka, Something Something, Agastya, Abhay And in 2024, he broke all the previous RECORDs in KARMA films and set a new record.
Archita Sahu, known professionally as Archita, is an Indian actress, model, and television personality. She is known for her work in Odia films, for which she has received four Odisha State Film Awards.
Mihir Kumar Das was an Indian actor who worked in Odia language films of Ollywood industry. He had received several awards, notably Best Actor for his films Laxmi Pratima in 1998 and Pheria Mo Suna Bhauni in 2005 Best Supporting Actor award for his films Rakhi Bandhili Mo Rakhiba Mana in 2002 and Prema Adhei Akhyara and Best Comedian award for Mu Tate Love Karuchhi in 2007 from the Odisha state government.
The first Sambalpuri movie released was Bhukha. It was released in the year 1989 and was directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra. It was also the first film from Western Odisha to get an International Jury Award at the Gijon International Film Festival. The second film in Sambalpuri language is Ulugulan (Revolution), which was released in 2008, directed by Mahmood Hussain and produced by Purnabasi Sahu. Its story is set in the first half of the 18th century and depicts the tyrannical rule of the Nagpur rulers.

Manmohan Mahapatra was an Odia filmmaker, director, producer, and writer. He won eight consecutive national film awards for his films Nishita Swapna, Majhi Pahacha, Klanta Aparanha, Neeraba Jhada, Seeta Raati, and Bhinna Samaya, among others.
Tattwa Prakash Satapathy, better known by his stage name Papu Pom Pom, is an Indian film, television, Music Director, standup comedian and an Odisha Legislative Assembly candidate. Satapathy has acted in over 50 Odia movies. He was the main lead in the well-known Odia television comedy serial 'Excuse Me: Jaha Kahibi Sata Kahibi, Faltu Katha, Eita Bayata. Pagala Premi was his first movie, for which he earned an Odisha State Film Award for Best Actor. Sabyasachi got his second state award for Emiti Bi Prema Hue. He won the Filmfare Awards East as best actor for Mu Eka Tumara in 2013.
Prakruti Mishra is an Indian actress known for her work in Odia films and Hindi television. She is best known for her performance in the film Hello Arsi for which she won the National Film Award in 2018. She is also known for her roles in Hindi television shows and is known for her role as Devanyi In Jai Kanhaiya Lal Kion Star Bharat, as Bitti in Bitti Business Wali on & TV and in the reality show of MTV Ace Of Space 2 in which she was 5th runner up.

In 2022, Babushan Mohanty portrayed Doctor Character in DAMaN movie was an Indian Odia-language adventure drama film Released in Odia as well as in the Hindi language.
Haata Dhari Chalutha is a 2013 Oriya Drama movie directed by Himansu Parija. It was produced by Anubhav Mohanty & Anuprash Mohanty. The film stars with Anubhav Mohanty and Barsha Priyadarshini in lead roles. The music was given by Prem Anand. The film released on 14 June 2013. The film was a remake of Telugu film Solo.
Filmfare Awards East is the Bengali segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by The Times Group to honour the artistic and cinematic excellence in Bengali. The first installment of the awards were held for Bengali, Assamese and Odia films in a ceremony on 29 March 2014.
