Tear Ring Saga: Chronicles of War Hero Yutona is a tactical role-playing game developed by Tirnanog, a development studio started by Shouzou Kaga, the creator of the Fire Emblem series, after he left Nintendo’s Intelligent Systems development team in 1999. The game featured a complicated development and initial release period, with the company receiving legal pressure multiple times from Nintendo, who felt that the game's very similar gameplay and presentation, which also featured the art of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 artist Mayumi Hirota, infringed on their copyrights on their Fire Emblem intellectual property. Direct ties to Fire Emblem were dropped, and its original title, Emblem Saga, was changed to its final title as to not sound so similar to Fire Emblem, and the game was released in Japan on May 24, 2001, by Enterbrain, for Nintendo's competitor, Sony, on their PlayStation console. Three months after release, Nintendo took them to court over the game, and while Enterbrain was ordered to pay a fee, they ultimately retained the right to sell the game.

Resident Evil 4 is a survival horror game by Capcom, originally released for the GameCube in 2005. Players control the special agent Leon S. Kennedy on a mission to rescue the US president's daughter, Ashley Graham, who has been kidnapped by a religious cult in rural Spain. Leon fights hordes of enemies infected by a mind-controlling parasite and reunites with the spy Ada Wong. Versions for iOS and Android followed a year later in September 2017, and it is planned to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in January 2024 as part of the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy compilation.

<i>Ace Attorney</i> (TV series) 2016 television series directed by Ayumu Watanabe

Ace Attorney, known in Japan as Gyakuten Saiban: Sono "Shinjitsu", Igiari!, is an anime series produced by A-1 Pictures, based on Capcom's video game series of the same name. It is directed by Ayumu Watanabe and written by Atsuhiro Tomioka, with Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi serving as a script supervisor. The first season—which adapts the first two games of the franchise, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Justice for All—aired in Japan from April to September 2016, and was simulcast by Crunchyroll. A second season by CloverWorks aired from October 2018 to March 2019, adapting the third game, Trials and Tribulations.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a compilation video game containing remasters of the first three games in the Ace Attorney series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (2001), Justice for All (2002), and Trials and Tribulations (2004). A compilation sequel, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, is set for release in 2024 and compiles the next three mainline games in the series, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Dual Destinies, and Spirit of Justice.
