This is a list of Malaysian films produced and released in 2022. Most of these films are produced in the Malay language, but there also a significant number of them that are produced in Tamil, English, and Mandarin.

Raja Bersiong is a 1968 Malaysian Malay-language historical epic film Malay film directed by Jamil Sulong and based on a story by former Malaysian Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman. Despite costing RM 750,000 to produce, ten times the cost of the average Malaysian film, it was a flop at the box-office.
Animation in Malaysia has origins in the puppetry style of wayang kulit, wherein the characters are controlled by the puppeteer, or Tok Dalang. The art of shadow play inspired German filmmaker Lotte Reiniger to create the animated The Adventures of Prince Achmed in 1926 that was based on one of the stories in the 1001 Nights. Many of the world's animators have credited Prince Achmed's recognisable style for generating their initial interest in animation as well as in their works.
The making of local Tamil-language films its motherland of Tamil Nadu is actively growing in Malaysia. With the Tamil diaspora worldwide, there are many enthusiastic filmmakers who want to make their mark.
Bola Kampung: The Movie is a 2013 Malaysian Malay-language animated science fantasy film co-directed by Ah Loong and Chong Tee Chua, based on the animated series Bola Kampung produced by Animasia Studios and Young Jump Animation. The movie was a moderate commercial success, released on March 21, 2013 in Malaysia and April 2013 in Indonesia. It is the first Malaysian animated film to be produced in 3D stereoscopic format.
Sanjna Suri is a Malaysian pharmacist, beauty pageant titleholder, singer, model, and actress. She rose to fame after winning Miss Intercontinental Malaysia in 2017. She then represented Malaysia at Miss Scuba International 2015, Face of Asia 2017 International Model, Miss Intercontinental 2017, and Miss Supranational 2018.
