Cheung achieved breakout success with the role Jiu Jik in the crime thriller series OCTB (2017). He continued to star in various productions, taking on lead roles in crime films Deception of the Novelist (2019) and the Breakout Brothers trilogy (2021–2022), as well as supporting lead roles in ViuTV action thriller series Warriors Within (2020) and action film Dynasty Warriors (2021). He is set to reprise as Jiu Jik in the upcoming OCTB 2.

Time is a 2021 Hong Kong black comedy film directed by Ricky Ko and co-written by Gordon Lam and Pinky Ho. Starring Patrick Tse, Petrina Fung, Lam Suet, and Chung Suet Ying, the film follows a retired and senile killer (Tse) who returns to business by providing euthanasia to suffering elderly, and finds a new life purpose through an encounter with an orphaned young client (Chung).

<i>Over My Dead Body</i> (2023 film) 2023 Hong Kong black comedy film

Over My Dead Body is a 2023 Hong Kong black comedy film directed by Ho Cheuk Tin and co-written by Amy Chin and Kong Ho Yan. Starring Teresa Mo, Ronald Cheng, Wong You-nam, Jennifer Yu, Edan Lui, Yeung Wai Lun, Lau Kong, and Bonnie Wong, the film revolves around a group of apartment residents trying to dispose of a mysterious corpse that has appeared on their floor to prevent their homes from becoming stigmatized properties and losing value.
