The Longest Summer is Hong Kong independent director Fruit Chan's second feature in the "1997 trilogy", first released in 1998. The first film in the trilogy is Made in Hong Kong. The movie details the problem faced by a group of disaffected Hong Kong ex-soldiers of the British Army, just before and after the 1997 handover by the People's Republic of China.

<i>Utopians</i> (film) 2015 Hong Kong, Taiwan, China film

Utopians is a 2015 film by the Hong Kong film-maker Scud, the production-crediting name of Danny Cheng Wan-Cheung. It is the story of a university student who becomes deeply attracted to his (male) professor, and whose life changes as a result. The film received its world premiere on 31 October 2015 at the New Directors Film Festival in Japan. Utopians explores several themes traditionally regarded as 'taboo' in Hong Kong society and features full-frontal male nudity in several scenes. It is the sixth of seven publicly released films by Scud. The six other films are: City Without Baseball in 2008, Permanent Residence in 2009, Amphetamine in 2010, Love Actually... Sucks! in 2011, Voyage in 2013 and Thirty Years of Adonis in 2017. The eighth film, Apostles, was made in 2022, as was the ninth, Bodyshop, but neither have yet been released. The tenth and final film, Naked Nations: Hong Kong Tribe, is currently in production. Utopians includes a scene in which the main character, played by mainland China actor Adonis He Fei, is shown completely naked stroking his erect penis as he sighs with pleasure until he ejaculates in the uncut version of the film.

<i>The Goldfinger</i> (2023 film) 2023 Hong Kong film by Felix Chong

The Goldfinger is a 2023 Hong Kong crime drama film written and directed by Felix Chong, and starring Tony Leung and Andy Lau. Set in the 1980s, the film is based on the story of Carrian Group, a Hong Kong corporation which rose rapidly before collapsing shortly afterwards due to a corruption scandal.

Ian Chan Cheuk-yin, is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter, actor, and a member of the Cantopop group Mirror. He was a former volleyball player for the Hong Kong men's national volleyball team and South China Athletic Association. He is also the founder of the clothing brand Indipandant.

He won various new artist awards, including 2021 Ultimate Song Chart Best Male Newcomer (Gold).

Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In is a 2024 Hong Kong martial arts action film directed by Soi Cheang, and starring Louis Koo, Sammo Hung, Richie Jen, Raymond Lam, Terrance Lau, Kenny Wong, Philip Ng, Tony Wu and German Cheung. The film was based on the novel City of Darkness by Yuyi and the manhua of the same name by Andy Seto.

She also starred in the drama film The Lyricist Wannabe (2024) and received nominations for Best Leading Actress and Best Actress in the 60th Golden Horse Awards and 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards respectively. In 2024, Chung won the Best Leading Actress in the 61st Golden Horse Awards with the film The Way We Talk.

The film revolves around a heist mission in Japan, featuring two inexperienced recruits, a counterfeiter (Lui) and a locksmith (Lo), who join a reluctant crew.

Starring Patrick Tse, Petrina Fung, Lam Suet, and Chung Suet Ying, the film follows a retired killer (Tse) who returns to business by providing euthanasia to the suffering elderly, and finds a new life purpose through an encounter with an orphaned young client (Chung).

The film is based on the real-life 2010 Heung Wo Street murder, in which a mentally unstable son killed his mother and sister, leaving his father as the sole survivor. Starring Sean Lau, Jo Koo, Dylan So, and Lainey Hung, the film is set in the aftermath of the murder and follows the father (Lau) as he navigates survivor guilt and seeks reconciliation with his son (So).

The Last Dance is a 2024 Hong Kong drama film directed and written by Anselm Chan. Starring Dayo Wong, Michael Hui, Michelle Wai, and Chu Pak Hong, the film explores themes related to Hong Kong's deathcare and follows a wedding planner (Wong) who enters the funeral industry through a partnership with a traditional Taoist priest (Hui), seeking to understand the meaning of life and death through funeral rituals.
