The following is a complete list of Michelin starred restaurants in Thailand. The 2018 edition was the inaugural edition of the Michelin Guide in Thailand and it will cover Bangkok. Bangkok was the seventh Asian city/region to have a dedicated Red Guide, after Tokyo, Hong Kong & Macau, Osaka & Kyoto, Singapore, Shanghai and Seoul. Since then Michelin Guide Thailand continues to expand its coverage to Phuket, Phang-Nga, Chiang Mai, and Ayutthaya. This year 4 more provinces in Isan region; Nakorn Ratchasima, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen were added in the latest 2023 edition. Joël Robuchon was a French chef and restaurateur. He was named "Chef of the Century" by the guide Gault Millau in 1989, and awarded the Meilleur Ouvrier de France in cuisine in 1976. He published several cookbooks, two of which have been translated into English, chaired the committee for the Larousse Gastronomique, and hosted culinary television shows in France. He operated more than a dozen restaurants across Bangkok, Bordeaux, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, London, Macau, Madrid, Monaco, Montreal, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, and New York City. His restaurants have been acclaimed, and in 2016 he held 31 Michelin Guide stars among them, the most any restaurateur has ever held. He is considered to be one of the greatest chefs of all time.
The Michelin Guides are a series of guide books that have been published by the French tyre company Michelin since 1900. The Guide awards up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few restaurants in certain geographic areas. The acquisition or loss of a star or stars can have dramatic effects on the success of a restaurant. Michelin also publishes the Green Guides, a series of general guides to cities, regions, and countries.
Alain Roux, is a British Michelin starred chef, and chef-patron of The Waterside Inn. He is one of the members of the Roux family, and son of Michel Roux.
Tourism is an economic contributor to the Kingdom of Thailand. Estimates of tourism revenue directly contributing to the GDP of 12 trillion baht range from one trillion baht (2013) 2.53 trillion baht (2016), the equivalent of 9% to 17.7% of GDP. When including indirect travel and tourism receipts, the 2014 total is estimated to be the equivalent of 19.3% of Thailand's GDP. The actual contribution of tourism to GDP is lower than these percentages because GDP is measured in value added not revenue. The valued added of the Thailand's tourism industry is not known. According to the secretary-general of the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council in 2019, the government projects that the tourism sector will account for 30% of GDP by 2030, up from 20% in 2019,Thailand expects to receive 80 million visitors in 2027.

Quintessence is a Michelin 3-star Japanese French fusion restaurant in Shinagawa, Japan. It is difficult to reserve a table in the restaurant and has been listed as among the 50 best restaurants in Asia by CNN.
Gaggan Anand is an Indian chef and the owner and executive chef of the progressive Indian restaurant Gaggan in Bangkok, Thailand.
Andanada was a Spanish restaurant located at 141 West 69th Street on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, New York City. Opening in 2012 under chef Manuel Berganza, it earned one Michelin star in 2014, which it maintained until its reported closure in 2017.
Gaggan was a restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand run by Indian chef Gaggan Anand from 2010 to 2019. It ranked number one among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants and seventh overall in The World's 50 Best Restaurants from 2015 to 2018. The restaurant also earned two Michelin stars in the first edition of the Thailand Michelin Guide.
Jay Fai is a street-side restaurant in Bangkok and a nickname of its eponymous owner, whose real name is Supinya Junsuta. The restaurant mainly serves wok-cooked seafood dishes, and is highly popular among food enthusiasts despite its high prices. It received one star in the inaugural Bangkok 2018 Michelin Guide.
Thanapat Bunleang, better known by his stage name Thaiboy Digital, is a Thai rapper, singer, producer, and fashion designer. Born in Khon Kaen, Thailand, Bunleang moved to Stockholm, Sweden at the age of eight, and is now based in Bangkok. In addition to his solo work, Bunleang is a member of the group Drain Gang.
Duangporn "Bo" Songvisava is a Thai chef and restaurateur. She and her husband, chef Dylan Jones, own and operated Bo.lan, a restaurant in Bangkok's Thong Lo neighborhood. In 2018 Songvisava was profiled on the fifth season of the documentary series Chef's Table.
Bongkoch "Bee" Satongun is a native Thai chef and restaurateur. She is known for her landmark restaurant, Paste Bangkok, which received a Michelin star. Chef Bee has expanded the Paste brand to neighboring Laos and recently opened a third venue in Australia.
Pim Techamuanvivit is a Thai chef and restaurateur based in San Francisco. She is the owner of Nari, Kamin, and Michelin-starred Kin Khao restaurants in San Francisco, and became the executive chef of Michelin-starred Nahm in Bangkok in 2019.
Nahm is a Thai restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. Originally opened by Australian chef David Thompson in London in 2001, Nahm became the first Thai restaurant to receive a Michelin Star in 2002. Thompson opened Nahm Bangkok in September 2010, closing the flagship London location in December 2012. In April 2018, Thompson left Nahm, and was replaced by Thai-American chef Pim Techamuanvivit.
