James Stott was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, England and Lancashire, and at club level for United Glass Bottle ARLFC, and St Helens, as a centre, i.e. number 3 or 4. Jim Stott was a Private in the British Army during World War II, and appeared for Wigan as a World War II guest player.

Roy Mathias is a Welsh dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league, and footballer who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Felinfoel RFC and Llanelli RFC, as a wing, i.e. number 11 or 14, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain and Wales, and at club level for St. Helens and Cardiff City (Bridgend) Blue Dragons, as a wing, or loose forward, i.e. number 2 or 5, or 13, during the era of contested scrums.

Kevin Taylor was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He played at representative level for England, England (Under-24s) and Lancashire, at club level for Oldham and St Helens, and Leigh, as a hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.

Oliver Dolan was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for St Helens Recs, as a hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.
