American actress Holly Hunter has received numerous accolades throughout her career.

Hunter achieved her breakthrough in 1987, taking on the lead role of Jane Craig in the film Broadcast News , [1] earning her first nominations at the Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards, while also winning the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin International Film Festival. For her performance as Ada McGrath, a mute Scottish woman, in the 1993 period drama film The Piano directed by Jane Campion, [2] she won the Academy Award for Best Actress as well as the corresponding prizes at the AACTA Awards, BAFTA Awards, Cannes Film Festival, and Golden Globe Awards. During the same year she had a supporting role in the legal thriller The Firm , for which she was nominated for the Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. The 2003 teen drama film Thirteen garnered her further nominations at the Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards, while her work in the 2017 romantic comedy The Big Sick earned her two nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. She has also been recognized for her voice acting as Helen Parr / Elastigirl in the Pixar animated film The Incredibles (2004) and its sequel Incredibles 2 (2018), [3] achieving an Annie Award nomination for the latter.

For her work on television, Hunter has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for the television films Roe vs. Wade (1989) and The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom (1993). Jesse Plemons is an American actor. He began his career as a child actor and achieved a breakthrough with his role as Landry Clarke in the NBC drama series Friday Night Lights (2006–2011). He subsequently portrayed Todd Alquist in season 5 of the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad (2012–2013) and its sequel film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019). For his role as Ed Blumquist in season 2 of the FX anthology series Fargo (2015), he received his first Primetime Emmy Award nomination and won a Critics' Choice Television Award. The 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, honoring the best achievements in film and television performances for the year 2012, were presented on January 27, 2013, at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles for the seventeenth consecutive year. It was broadcast simultaneously by TNT and TBS, which collectively gained 5.2 million viewers, leading the two networks to sign a three-year television contract with SAG-AFTRA. The nominees were announced on December 12, 2012.

The 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, honoring the best achievements in film and television performances for the year 2017, were presented on January 21, 2018 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony was broadcast on both TNT and TBS 8:00 p.m. EST / 5:00 p.m. PST. On December 4, 2017, it was announced that the ceremony would have its first ever host in its twenty-four year history, with actress Kristen Bell presiding over the award show. The nominees were announced on December 13, 2017.
