This is the chart of Italian music artists listed by estimated sales according to the most important Italian newspapers, national television channels and music magazines. As the compilation of official data of sale of records in Italy it began to have departed only since 1995, thanks to the Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana, some corporate body of musical survey, as for instance Hit Parade Italy have tried to put order to the preceding respects furnished by Musica e dischi , TV Sorrisi e Canzoni , Ciao 2001 , and Doxa. From 1990 to 1995 any corporate body has furnished official data or estime of sale of the singers.
Reliable sources of estimated sales are most important Italian newspapers and magazines, like Il Corriere della Sera , La Repubblica , Il Giornale , Il Messaggero , and national radio and TV channels, like Rai, Mediaset, MTV, and Radio Italia TV.
To date, national sources attest 145 Italian music artists have surpassed five million records sold, twelve of which have sold between 50 and 100 million copies and seven of which have sold over 100 million records.

Elisa Toffoli , performing under the mononym Elisa, is an Italian singer-songwriter. She is one of the few Italian musicians who write and record mainly in English. She draws inspiration from many genres such as pop, alternative rock, electronica and trip hop. In Europe she is perhaps most recognised for the single "Come Speak to Me", while American audiences may recognise the song "Dancing" as featured in both the 2006 and 2007 seasons of So You Think You Can Dance. On 18 December 2012, her collaboration with Ennio Morricone, "Ancora qui", was featured in Quentin Tarantino's film Django Unchained and on its soundtrack album, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
Cesare Cremonini is an Italian singer-songwriter, record producer and actor.
Tiziano Ferro is an Italian singer, songwriter, producer, and author. He broke through in 2001 with his international hit single "Perdono" and has remained commercially successful since then, in several countries. Ferro has released a Spanish version of each of his albums and has also sung in English, Portuguese, and French. Known as the modern face of Italian pop music, he frequently writes songs for other artists and has produced albums for Giusy Ferreri, Alessandra Amoroso and Baby K.
Emanuela Trane, stage name "Dolcenera", is an Italian singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to fame in 2003, after winning the newcomers' section of the Sanremo Music Festival, but she achieved commercial success in Italy only in 2005, when she won the music-based reality show Music Farm and she released her second album, Un mondo perfetto. In 2005 she was also awarded Best New Artist of the Year at the Italian Meeting of Independent Record Labels and she received the De André Award for Best Emerging Artist.

The Sanremo Music Festival 2011, officially the 61st Italian Song Festival, was the 61st annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 15 and 19 February 2011 and broadcast by Rai 1. The festival was presented by singer Gianni Morandi with Paolo Kessisoglu, Luca Bizzarri, Belén Rodríguez and Elisabetta Canalis, while artistic director was Gianmarco Mazzi.
Maria Chiara Fraschetta, better known by her stage name Nina Zilli, is an Italian singer-songwriter. After releasing her debut single "50mila", she achieved commercial success with the album Sempre lontano, released after participating in the newcomers' section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2010. During the Sanremo Music Festival 2012, Zilli was chosen to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she placed 9th with the song "L'amore è femmina ", included in her second studio album. Zilli returned to the Sanremo Music Festival in 2015, and competed with the song "Sola" from her upcoming album, Frasi&Fumo. She was also a judge of Italia's Got Talent from 2015 to 2017.
Niccolò Fabi is an Italian singer-songwriter. He rose to national fame after competing in the Newcomers' section of the Sanremo Music Festival 1997, receiving the Mia Martini Critics' Award for his entry "Capelli".
Michele Zarrillo is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is mainly known for hits such as "Una rosa blu", "Cinque giorni", L'elefante e la farfalla and "La notte dei pensieri". In 1987 he won the Sanremo Music Festival, competing in the newcomers' section. Zarrillo took part in the competition several other times, the last time in 2020 with the song "Nell'estasi o nel fango". He took part in Sanremo's competition 13 times, but only won once, as stated above.
The Sanremo Music Festival 2013, officially the 63rd Italian Song Festival, was the 63rd annual Sanremo Music Festival, a televised song contest held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, Liguria, between 12 and 16 February 2013 and broadcast by Rai 1. The show was presented by Fabio Fazio with Italian comedy actress Luciana Littizzetto.
The Sanremo Music Festival 2006, officially the 56th Italian Song Festival, was the 56th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 27 February and 3 March 2006 and broadcast by Rai 1. The show was presented by comedian Giorgio Panariello with Victoria Cabello. Panariello and Gianmarco Mazzi served as the artistic directors.

Negrita is an Italian rock band from Arezzo, Tuscany. Formed in 1991, the band was named after the song "Hey Negrita", included in The Rolling Stones' album Black and Blue, released in 1976. The band currently consists of Paolo Bruni, Enrico Salvi and Cesare "Mac" Petricich.
