This is a list of notable hentai anime. Hentai is anime and manga that contains pornographic content.
Hentai is a style of Japanese pornographic anime and manga. In addition to anime and manga, hentai works exist in a variety of media, including artwork and video games.
Ecchi is a slang term in the Japanese language for playfully sexual actions. As an adjective, it is used with the meaning of "sexy", "dirty" or "naughty"; as a verb, ecchi suru means "to have sex", and as a noun, it is used to describe someone of lascivious behavior. It is softer than the Japanese word ero, and does not imply perversion in the way hentai does.
Central Park Media Corporation, often abbreviated as CPM, was an American multimedia entertainment company based in New York City, New York and was headquartered in the 250 West 57th Street building in Midtown Manhattan. They were one of the first companies to be active in the distribution of East Asian cinema, television series, anime, manga, and manhwa titles in North America, notably helping to make hentai popular in the region. Over its history, the company licensed several popular titles, such as Slayers, Revolutionary Girl Utena, the Tokyo Babylon OVAs, Project A-ko, and Demon City Shinjuku.
The Vanilla Series is Digital Works' brand for its hentai (pornographic) anime, most of which are based on hentai video games. In North America, the series is usually released by Critical Mass. However, at least three of the series was released by other studios. Angel Blade was released by Anime 18, while Office Affairs and Co-Ed Affairs were released by Kitty Media.
Right Stuf Inc. was an American video publisher and distributor of video programming that specialized in Asian entertainment. It had several divisions including: Nozomi Entertainment (production) and RightStufAnime.com. In March 2012, Right Stuf launched 5 Points Pictures, its live action label. Right Stuf also offered production services and distribution for Japanese labels Sunrise Inc., Eleven Arts, Pony Canyon, and its corporate sibling, Aniplex of America.
Satoshi Shiki is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator, whose works include Kamikaze and Riot. He's also an artist of hentai manga, and this influence can be seen even in his non-hentai works like Kamikaze and Daphne in the Brilliant Blue. He worked on XBlade in the magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius, and then illustrated the manga adaptation of Attack on Titan: Before the Fall, a light novel that acts as a prequel to the Attack on Titan manga series, also serialized at Monthly Shōnen Sirius.
I Dream of Mimi, known as Buttobi!! CPU in Japan, is a Japanese series written and illustrated by Kaoru Shintani. It was serialized in Hakusensha's seinen manga magazine Young Animal from 1993 to 1997, with its chapters collected in three tankōbon volumes. The series was adapted into a three-episode original video animation (OVA) produced by Pink Pineapple and animated by OLM in 1997. It was released in North America by The Right Stuf International.
Kyūkyoku!! Hentai Kamen is a comedy manga series written and illustrated by Keishū Ando. It was originally serialized in the Shueisha shōnen anthology magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1992 to 1993. The series tells the tale of a young martial artist who transforms into a bizarre hero of justice by wearing a pair of panties on his head. A live action film adaptation titled Hentai Kamen was released in 2013. It was followed by a second film, Hentai Kamen: Abnormal Crisis, in 2016.
The production, sale, distribution, and commercialization of child pornography in Japan is illegal under the Act on Punishment of Activities Relating to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography, and the Protection of Children (1999), and is punishable by a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a fine of ¥5,000,000. Simple possession of child pornography was made illegal by an amendment to the act in 2014. Virtual child pornography, which depicts wholly-fictional characters, is legal to produce and possess.

Established in 2009, Section23 is one of five successors to ADV Films; alongside Sentai Filmworks, Switchblade Pictures, Maiden Japan, and AEsir Holdings. The company is named after a Texas tax code.

Media Factory published 13 volumes from October 2010 to March 2019. It was adapted into a manga series serialized in Monthly Comic Alive and a 12-episode anime television series by J.C.Staff, which aired from April to June 2013. The anime is licensed by Sentai Filmworks in North America.

It was published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint from January 2017 to January 2022. A total of fourteen volumes have been published. The series follows Keiki Kiryū, a high school student who seeks the identity of the sender of an unnamed love letter attached to underwear, which consequently leads him to discover the special hidden peculiarities of the girls in his life.
Super HxEros is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ryōma Kitada. It was serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine from May 2017 to February 2021, with its chapters collected into twelve tankōbon volumes. In North America, the manga is licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment. A 12-episode anime television series adaptation produced by Project No.9 aired from July to September 2020.
E-Hentai is an image-hosting and file-sharing website focused on hentai. The site hosts user-generated image galleries primarily of pornographic content originating or derived from anime, manga, and video games, such as fanart, scanlations of manga and dōjinshi, and cosplay photographs. Its sister site Exhentai was spun off from E-Hentai in 2010 to host artwork that depicts material that is illegal in certain jurisdictions, such as lolicon, shotacon, and bestiality.
