This list shows a series in which interpersonal attraction between Female -centric harems and the gynephilic protagonist(s) – regardless of cited sex, gender, orientation, etc. – play a central role in their genre or storylines. Publishers label such elements as harem.

Male harem as a central element

This list shows series in which interpersonal attraction between Male -centric harems and the androphilic protagonist(s) – regardless of cited sex, gender, orientation, etc. – play a central role in their genre or storylines. Such elements are labeled by publishers as reverse harem.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Seven Seas Entertainment</span> American publishing company

Seven Seas Entertainment is an American publishing company located in Los Angeles, California. It was originally dedicated to the publication of original English-language manga, but now publishes licensed manga and light novels from Japan, as well as select webcomics. The company is headed by Jason DeAngelis, who coined the term "world manga" with the October 2004 launch of the company's website.

Gangan is a manga imprint owned by Square Enix Holdings. It originated as a manga imprint for Enix before the company re-branded as Square Enix. It publishes manga in several anthologies aimed at different reader demographic groups in the Japanese market. Its anthologies are home to some popular Square Enix manga series which were adapted into anime series, like Fullmetal Alchemist, Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit, Nabari no Ou, Inu x Boku SS, The Case Study of Vanitas and Soul Eater. The comics are later collected in paperback volumes under brand names such as Gangan Comics, Gangan Comics Joker and Young Gangan Comics, which identify the anthology of serialisation. These paperback brand names are formed by omitting any gekkan or shōnen in the magazine name and inserting Comics directly after the word Gangan.

Kōji Yusa is a freelance Japanese voice actor and narrator, born and raised in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto. He is best known for his roles in Bleach, Choja Raideen, the Sonic series, Battle Vixens, Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro, Zettai Karen Children, Yowamushi Pedal, and Kamen Rider Den-O.

Sayuri Yahagi is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with I'm Enterprise. She is the narrator of Animax.

Shinnosuke Tachibana is a Japanese voice actor, singer and narrator. He is married to voice actress Ao Takahashi.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Animax (Latin America)</span> Former cable channel

Animax was a Latin American cable television channel, serving as the regional variant of the Japanese network of the same name. It was launched on 31 July 2005, replacing Locomotion, which was acquired by Sony on 18 January of the same year. Animax was divided into four feeds: three in Spanish and one in Portuguese (Brazil).

J-Novel Club is a publishing company specializing in the translation of Japanese light novels into English. It streams light novels and manga in regular installments before publishing finalized e-books. As of August 2021, J-Novel Club has licensed over 150 light novel and manga series and have published more than 800 e-books. It has licensed titles from many Japanese publishers, including Hobby Japan, Overlap, Kodansha, Drecom, Earth Star Entertainment, Kadokawa Corporation, Micro Magazine, Shufunotomo, and Softbank Creative. It was acquired by Kadokawa Corporation on April 28, 2021.

Isekai is a sub-genre of fiction. It includes novels, light novels, films, manga, anime, and video games that revolve around a displaced person or people who are transported to and have to survive in another world such as a fantasy world, game world, or parallel universe with or without the possibility of returning to their original world. Isekai is one of the most popular genres of anime, and isekai stories share many common tropes – for example, a powerful protagonist who is able to beat most people in the other world by fighting. This plot device typically allows the audience to learn about the new world at the same pace as the protagonist over the course of their quest or lifetime. If the main characters are transported to a game-like world, the genre can overlap with LitRPG.

Takao Yoshioka is a Japanese anime screenwriter. After leaving Shin-Ei Animation, he debuted as a screenwriter with Happy Lesson. Since Happy Lesson, he has been in charge of screenwriting for many series, some of which are Elfen Lied, Your Lie in April, High School DxD, Horimiya, and The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments.

Saya Aizawa is a Japanese voice actress who is affiliated with Stardust Promotion. She is known for her roles as Hiromi Seki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Chiharu Andō in Chio's School Road, Shizuri Castiella Kasugaya in Strike the Blood, and Yuzuki Tachibana in Taisho Otome Fairy Tale.

<i>Manga Up!</i> Japanese manga service

Manga Up! (マンガUP!) is a Japanese manga service. Originally launched in January 2017, the service hosts manga series published by Square Enix. The service also serializes original works, many of which are derived from other media. In July 2022, the website launched internationally in English.
