A lemon-lime soft drink or lemon-lime soda (also known as lemonade in the United Kingdom, Australia [1] and New Zealand and as cider in Japan [ citation needed ] and South Korea [2] ) is a carbonated soft drink with lemon and lime flavoring.
Lemon-lime soft drinks are typically colorless, however cloudy varieties such as Limca are also available. Similar in appearance and flavor to the clear variety of lemonade found in the UK and Australia, lemon-lime soft drinks are often packaged in green bottles to better distinguish them from soda water.

Citra was a clear lemon- and lime-flavoured soda sold in India in the 1980s and early 1990s. Citra was owned by Parle Bisleri. Along with other Parle brands, Thums Up, Limca, Gold Spot and Maaza, Citra was sold to Coca-Cola in 1993 in a deal that was reportedly worth $40 million. At the time of sale, the Parle brands together had a 60% market share in the aerated water industry. The brand was strong in South India. Starry is a lemon-lime soft drink distributed by PepsiCo. Distribution began in January 2023. The brand is aimed at competing against Sprite and 7 Up. In January 2023, Starry replaced Sierra Mist as Pepsi's lemon-lime flavored drink, in part because Sierra Mist failed to gain market share in the growing category. Starry contains no caffeine, and as of April 2023 is available in Regular and Zero-Sugar varieties.
