The lyceum is a category of educational institution defined within the education system of many countries, mainly in Europe. The definition varies among countries; usually it is a type of secondary school. Basic science and some introduction to specific professions are generally taught.
The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is a self-governing state-funded organization in Ukraine that is the main center of development of science and technology by coordinating a system of research institutes in the country. It is the main research oriented organization along with the five other academies in Ukraine specialized in various scientific disciplines. NAS Ukraine consists of numerous departments, sections, research institutes, scientific centers and various other supporting scientific organizations.
Starting in September 2018, 12-year secondary education will replace 11-year which was mandatory before that. As a rule, schooling begins at the age of 6, unless your birthday is on or after 1 September. In 2016/17, the number of students in primary and secondary school reached 3,846,000, in vocational school 285,800, and in higher education 1,586,700 students. According to 2017 EduConf speech of the (then) Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Liliya Hrynevych, the amount of budget financing for the sphere of education would reach about ₴53 billion in 2017.
Specialized schools are secondary schools with enhanced coverage of certain subjects that constitute the specialization of the school. They should not be identified with vocational schools, whose goal is to deliver skills for a particular type of job.
The Ukrainian Physics and Mathematics Lyceum (UPML) is a boarding high school and one of the few science magnet schools in Ukraine. It is located in Kyiv and affiliated with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The 1992–93 Ukrainian Cup was the second edition of the Ukrainian Cup competition. It started on July 26, 1992, with a Podillya face-off and concluded with the final on May 30, 1993. The main highlights of this season's edition was a successful play of FC Khimik Sieverodonetsk who made to the quarterfinals at expense of FC Shakhtar Donetsk, defeating them at the first stage of the Cup competition. Another sensation was the defeat of the defending champions FC Chornomorets Odesa from their city-mates SC Odesa in the first round of the competition as well. Once again teams FC Torpedo Zaporizhzhia and FC Metalist Kharkiv made to the semifinals.

The Lviv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum is a public boarding high school in Lviv, Ukraine. It is considered to be one of the best educational institutions in the country. In 2012 and 2015, the Lviv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum was ranked first among high schools in Ukraine by Focus magazine. The school is well known for organizing multiple country-wide competitions in mathematics, physics ("Levenia"), programming ("Bober"), and the Ukrainian version of the international Mathematical Kangaroo contest.
The 2017–18 Ukrainian Cup was the 27th annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition. The competition was planned to be started on 9 July 2017 and concluded on 9 May 2018.
The 2021–22 Ukrainian Cup was the 31st annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition. The competition started on 4 August 2021 and was expected to be concluded on 11 May 2022 with the final. The Ukrainian Association of Football announced that the new competition sponsor is a betting company VBet, same as for the Ukrainian Premier League. Dynamo Kyiv were the two-time defending winners.
