Saros cycle series 129 for lunar eclipses occurs at the moon's descending node, repeats every 18 years 11 and 1/3 days. It contains 71 member events, with 70 existant eclipse, which is the penumbral or eclipse magnitude is over 0.01. It has 11 total eclipses, starting in 1910 and ending in 2090. Solar saros 136 interleaves with this lunar saros with an event occurring every 9 years 5 days alternating between each saros series. It consisted with 10 penumbral eclipses, 21 partial eclipses, 11 total eclipses, 21 partial eclipses, and ends with 8 penumbral eclipses. [1]
The saros is a period of exactly 223 synodic months, that can be used to predict eclipses of the Sun and Moon. One saros period after an eclipse, the Sun, Earth, and Moon return to approximately the same relative geometry, a near straight line, and a nearly identical eclipse will occur, in what is referred to as an eclipse cycle. A sar is one half of a saros.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned, with Earth between the other two. A lunar eclipse can occur only on the night of a full moon. The type and length of a lunar eclipse depend on the Moon's proximity to either node of its orbit.
Lunar saros series 129, repeating every 18 years and 11 days, containing 71 events, has 11 total lunar eclipses. The first total lunar eclipse of this series was on May 24, 1910, and last will be on September 8, 2090. The two longest occurrence of this series were on July 6, 1982 and July 16, 2000 when totality lasted 106 minutes.
A total lunar eclipse took place on May 24, 1910.
A total lunar eclipse will take place on September 8, 2090.
A total lunar eclipse took place on July 6, 1982.

A penumbral lunar eclipse took place on March 14, 2006, the first of two lunar eclipses in 2006.
A total lunar eclipse took place on 16 July 2000, the second of two total lunar eclipses in 2000.
A penumbral lunar eclipse took place at the Moon’s ascending node on February 11, 2017, the first of two lunar eclipses in 2017. It was not quite a total penumbral lunar eclipse. It occurred the same day as comet 45P/Honda–Mrkos–Pajdušáková made a close approach to Earth. It also occurred on the Lantern Festival, the first since February 9, 2009.
A total lunar eclipse will take place on August 7, 2036. The moon will pass through the center of the Earth's shadow. This is the last central lunar eclipse of Saros cycle 129.
A total lunar eclipse occurred at the Moon’s descending node on Friday, 27 July 2018. The Moon passed through the center of Earth's shadow in what was the first central lunar eclipse since 15 June 2011. It was also the second total lunar eclipse in 2018, after the one on 31 January. It was the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century, but not the longest in the 3rd millennium.
A total lunar eclipse will take place on July 7, 2047. It will last 1 hour and 41 minutes will plunge the full Moon into deep darkness, as it passes right through the centre of the Earth's umbral shadow. While the visual effect of a total eclipse is variable, the Moon may be stained a deep orange or red colour at maximum eclipse. This will be a great spectacle for everyone who sees it. The partial eclipse will last for 3 hours and 39 minutes in total.
A total lunar eclipse took place on June 25, 1964. The moon passed through the center of the Earth's shadow.
A penumbral lunar eclipse will take place on 10 January 2020. It will be the first of four penumbral lunar eclipses in 2020.
A total lunar eclipse will take place on September 19, 2043.
A total lunar eclipse took place on June 3, 1928.
