Ilocos Norte, officially the Province of Ilocos Norte, is a province of the Philippines located in the Ilocos Region. Its capital is Laoag City, located in the northwest corner of Luzon Island, bordering Cagayan and Apayao to the east, and Abra to the southeast, and Ilocos Sur to the southwest. Ilocos Norte faces the West Philippine Sea to the west and the Luzon Strait to the north.

The Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University is the state university system serving the province of La Union in the Philippines. Its main autonomous unit is in Bacnotan. It was created by former president Ferdinand Marcos by using Presidential Decree 1778 to combine a number of state-run schools in La Union into a single state college in 1981. Like Mariano Marcos State University in Ilocos Norte, it is named for the former president's father, Mariano Marcos.

The station airs from 4:45 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 6 AM to 10 PM on weekends.
The Philippine Carabao Center an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture, was established at Science City of Muñoz in Nueva Ecija province in 1992 to breed and cross carabao based on high-yield Murrah buffalo in the Philippines as a multi-purpose animal that can be raised for milk, meat, hide, and draft.

Established in 1970 by Virgilio Florida, Sr., the company operates buses to Northern Luzon destinations. Currently managed by brothers George and Virgilio Florida, Jr., and along with Harry D. Florida, Chief Operator Executive, the current municipal mayor of Allacapan, Cagayan.
Arsenio Molina Balisacan is a Filipino economist and academician currently serving as the Secretary of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). Balisacan first served as the NEDA Secretary from May 2012 to January 2016 under the Benigno Aquino III administration. He then served under the Duterte administration as the Chairperson of the Philippine Competition Commission from February 1, 2016 to June 30, 2022. He was again appointed as NEDA Secretary under the Bongbong Marcos administration. During his first term in 2012, he concurrently served as NEDA Secretary and as Chairman of the Boards of the Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine Institute for Development Studies, Philippine Center for Economic Development, and Public-Private Partnership Center.
Ilocos Norte's 2nd congressional district is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Ilocos Norte. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916. The district consists of the city of Batac and adjacent municipalities of Badoc, Banna, Currimao, Dingras, Marcos, Nueva Era, Paoay, Pinili, San Nicolas and Solsona. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Eugenio Angelo M. Barba of the Nacionalista Party (NP).
