The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) is an association of public tertiary school level institutions in the Philippines. These comprises all 102 State Universities and Colleges (SUC) which are under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). [1] PASUC holds its sports, literary, and musical competition annually participated by its member.
The State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) members are grouped in three according to its region. [2] [3]

It was established in 1901 through Act No. 74 of the Philippine Commission "for the education of natives of the Islands in the science of teaching". It has campuses in Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9647, it is the country's National Center for Teacher Education.
The State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) is an association of 93 institutions, conferences, organizations, and individuals that organizes the athletic programs of different state colleges and universities in the Philippines. SCUAA is one of the inter-collegiate sports associations in the Philippines, the union of seven major state colleges and universities in Metro Manila.
The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines is a state university system in the Philippines established on August 16, 2016, by virtue of Republic Act 10919 through the amalgamation of the Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Cagayan de Oro and the Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology (MOSCAT) in Claveria, Misamis Oriental. The Polytechnic University of the Philippines Laboratory High School, abbreviated as PUPLHS, is the laboratory school of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Education located in PUP Mabini Campus, Sta. Mesa, Manila. It was established in 1954 as the Philippine College of Commerce High School offering commercial courses, and is the first high school to offer commercial curriculum in the Philippines. The school has a student population of 541 in 2015.

The Ifugao State University (IFSU) is a government owned and funded university in the Philippines. It was originally established in 1920 as 'Nayon Settlement Farm School' by American educators. It gained its university status under Republic Act 9720 passed by the Philippine Congress and the Senate of the Philippines and duly approved in 2009 by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, then President of the Republic. Ricardo Enriquez Rotoras was a Filipino educator who served as president of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, since 2006. Rotoras also served 4 terms as president of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges. In December 2017 he was murdered.
The Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, officially designated as Republic Act 10931, is a Philippine law that institutionalizes free tuition and exemption from other fees in state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local universities and colleges (LUCs) in the Philippines. The law also foresees subsidies for private higher education institutions. It is intended to give underprivileged Filipino students a better chance to earn a college degree.
