MexicanaClick, formerly Click Mexicana, was Mexicana's regional operator, serving most of Mexicana's domestic routes between more than 25 Mexican cities. It was founded as a low-cost carrier, but changed its market to regional operations after its acquisition by Mexicana. Its main base was Mexico City International Airport. [1]
The airline was founded in 1975 and started operations on 12 July 1975 as Aerocaribe. It was formed by Yucatán private investors but was bought by Corporación Mexicana de Aviación on 23 August 1990. It operated regional services under the Mexicana Inter banner using Fairchild FH-227 and Douglas DC-9-30 aircraft (as of January 2005). Mexicana decided to transfer its fleet of Fokker 100 aircraft to Aerocaribe and rebrand the airline, with Click Mexicana starting operations in July 2005. Some services previously operated by Mexicana de Aviación, such as Ciudad del Carmen, Cozumel, and Saltillo, were shifted to Click Mexicana. In December 2005, the Mexicana group, including Click Mexicana, was reprivatised and sold by the Mexican government to Grupo Posadas, a hotel chain. [2]
As part of a restructuring of Mexicana in 2008, it was announced that Click would stop service as a separate low-cost airline and begin serving domestic destinations in Mexico as a regional feeder under the name MexicanaClick. The new airline also started adding to their fleet with Boeing 717 aircraft, which added Business class to the airline.
Click, along with its parent company, ceased operations on 28 August 2010, after filing for bankruptcy earlier in the month. Mexicana and its subsidiaries had stopped selling tickets three weeks prior to the shutdown.

The airline announced in February 2009, that it would replace its Fokker 100 fleet with 25 Boeing 717-200 aircraft from Midwest Airlines, [4] starting in 2009, with 7 aircraft. [5]

As of 11 March 2009, the average age of the MexicanaClick fleet was 13.3 years. [6]
The seats in the entire fleet were made of orange and grey leather. To match the interior there were also orange curtains and a "Click" symbol at the front of the cabin similar to that of the parent company Mexicana.
On February 11, 2010, a MexicanaClick Fokker 100 landed at Monterrey Airport with its landing gear up after pilots reported a malfunction. The aircraft was bound for Nuevo Laredo, but diverted to Monterrey given its longer runway and better emergency response capabilities. None of the 96 people on board were injured. [7]

It operates scheduled services to more than 90 destinations in Mexico; North, South and Central America; the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Its main base and hub is Mexico City International Airport, with secondary hubs in Guadalajara and Monterrey. The headquarters is in the Torre MAPFRE on Paseo de la Reforma.
Compañía Mexicana de Aviación S.A. de C.V., usually shortened to Mexicana de Aviación, was Mexico's oldest airline and one of the oldest continuously single-branded airlines, inaugurated in 1921. It was Mexico's biggest airline and flag carrier before ceasing operations on August 28, 2010, leaving competitor Aeroméxico as a de facto monopoly.
Compañía Panameña de Aviación, S.A., branded as Copa Airlines, is the flag carrier of Panama. It is headquartered in Panama City, Panama, with its main hub at Tocumen International Airport. Copa is a subsidiary of Copa Holdings and a member of the Star Alliance. The Fokker 100 is a regional jet that was produced by Fokker in the Netherlands. The Fokker 100 was based on the Fokker F28 with a fuselage stretched by 5.7 m (18.8 ft) to seat up to 109 passengers, up from 85. It is powered by two newer Rolls-Royce Tay turbofans, and it has an updated glass cockpit and a wider wing and tail for increased maximum weights. The Fokker 70 is a shortened variant that can hold up to 85 passengers and was developed for shorter routes, which first flew in April of 1993.
Aerolitoral, S.A. de C.V., DBA Aeroméxico Connect, and formerly known as Aerolitoral, is the regional airline of Aeroméxico operating Embraer 190 aircraft, with crew bases in Mexico City and Monterrey. It is headquartered in Monterrey. It operates feeder services to AeroMéxico's hub airports, using four-digit flight numbers. It is considered the biggest and most important regional airline in Mexico, offering more than 300 scheduled flights daily to 42 destinations in Mexico, 11 in the United States, five in Central America, and two in the Caribbean. Its main bases are Guadalajara, Mexico City, and Monterrey. Aeromexico Connect flights are marketed as Aeromexico.
AirUK was a wholly privately owned, independent regional airline in the United Kingdom formed in 1980 as a result of a merger involving four rival UK-based regional airlines. British and Commonwealth (B&C)-owned British Island Airways (BIA) and Air Anglia were the two dominant merger partners. The merged entity's corporate headquarters were originally located at Redhill, Surrey, the location of the old BIA head office. It subsequently relocated to Crawley, West Sussex. In addition to the main maintenance base at Norwich Airport, there also used to be a second major maintenance base at Blackpool Airport. This was closed down following Air UK's major retrenchment during Britain's severe recession of the early 1980s. In 1987, Air UK established Air UK Leisure as a charter subsidiary. The following year, Air UK shifted its headquarters to London Stansted Airport. When Stansted's new Norman Foster-designed terminal opened in 1991, the airline became its first and subsequently main tenant.
la aerolinea regional MEXICANA Aerocaribe was an airline based in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. It was a regional affiliate of Mexicana operating services under the Mexicana Inter banner and codeshares with its parent company. It operated almost 120 flights a day. In 2005 Mexicana decided to rebrand Aerocaribe as a low-cost airline, MexicanaClick.
General Mariano Escobedo International Airport, simply known as Monterrey International Airport, is an international airport located in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico serving Greater Monterrey. It operates flights to Mexico, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia and Europe. The airport serves as the main hub for Viva, Magnicharters, and the regional carrier Aerus. It is also a focus city for Volaris, Aeromexico Connect, and the regional airline TAR Aerolíneas. The airport also serves cargo and charter flights, hosts facilities for Mexican Airspace Navigation Services, and facilitates various tourism-related activities, flight training, and general aviation. Consorcio Aviaxsa, S.A. de C.V., doing business as Aviacsa, was a low-cost airline of Mexico with its headquarters in Hangar 1 of Zone C on the property of Mexico City International Airport in Venustiano Carranza, Mexico City, Mexico. The airline operated domestic services until the airline's grounding, radiating from major hubs at Monterrey, Mexico City and Guadalajara, and international service to Las Vegas, Nevada in the USA. Aviacsa also had a U.S. office in Houston.
TAESA was a low cost airline with its headquarters in No. 27 of Hangar Zone C on the grounds of Mexico City International Airport in Mexico City, Mexico.

It was Mexicana's regional carrier, while MexicanaClick was a low-fare domestic airline competing against Interjet, Volaris, and VivaAerobus. MexicanaLink used to compete against Aeromar and Aeroméxico Connect.
Aviación del Noroeste S.A de C.V was a Mexican airline based in Hermosillo, Mexico. It was shut down in 1995 and is currently defunct.
