The Ministry of Water Resources. is a ministry of the Government of Maharashtra. It is responsible for preparing annual plans for the development of Maharashtra state. [1] [2]

The mission of the organisation is to safeguard the drainage basin which feeds water into the Ganges by protecting it from pollution or overuse. In July 2014, the NGRBA was transferred from the Ministry of Environment and Forests to the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, formerly the Ministry of Water Resources (India).

Sanjay Dulichand Rathod is a Shiv Sena politician from Yavatmal district, Maharashtra. He is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Digras-Darwha Assembly Constituency.

Aditi Sunil Tatkare is an Indian politician belonging to Nationalist Congress Party, who was State Minister of Maharashtra by Shinde government since 2023 and Thackeray Government 2019 - 2022. She is from Roha and she was elected as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Shrivardhan on 24 October 2019. She took the oath as an MLA on 26 November 2019.
