Overview

Ministry of Industries is one of the main ministries in the Maharashtra Government. Mumbai is the state capital of Maharashtra. Mumbai is also the financial, commercial, [2] and the entertainment capital of India. It is also one of the world's top ten centres of commerce in terms of global financial flow, [3] generating 6.16% of India's GDP, [4] and accounting for 25% of industrial output, 70% of maritime trade in India (Mumbai Port Trust and JNPT), [5] and 70% of capital transactions to India's economy. [6] [7] The Maharashtra state houses important financial institutions and the corporate headquarters of numerous Indian companies and multinational corporations.

Departments

Directorate of Industries is an executive arm of the Ministry and is responsible for implementation of government policies for development of industries in Maharashtra. [8]

Nashik ) is a city in the northern region of the Indian state of Maharashtra. Situated on the banks of the river Godavari. The population of Nashik city is around 2.2 million and is emerging as one of the fastest-growing cities in India. Nashik is located about 165 km (103 mi) northeast of the state capital Mumbai, and about 210 km (130 mi) north of Pune. The Mumbai-Pune-Nashik region is called the "Golden Triangle of Maharashtra". Mumbai, is the financial centre and the most populous city of India with an estimated city proper population of 12.5 million (1.25 crore). The city is the entertainment, fashion, and commercial centre of India. Mumbai hosts the largest urban economy of any city in India as it is the financial capital of an almost US$ 4 trillion Indian economy in nominal terms. According to recent estimates Mumbai Metro's nominal GDP is estimated to be US$277.98 billion, and GDP (PPP) is estimated to be US$400 billion, Mumbai's GDP (PPP) per capita rounds up to around US$23,000. It is the richest Indian city and 12th richest city in the world with a net wealth of around US$1 trillion with 46,000 millionaires and 92 billionaires. Narayan Tatu Rane is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg. He was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He formerly serves as Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Second Modi ministry. He has previously held Cabinet Ministry positions for Industry, Port, Employment and Self-employment; Revenue; and Industry in the Government of Maharashtra.

The Mumbai–Pune Expressway is India's first 6-lane wide concrete, access-controlled tolled expressway. It spans a distance of 94.5km connecting Raigad-Navi Mumbai-Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra state and the financial capital of India, with Pune, the cultural and educational capital of Maharashtra. She has served as the National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP, from December 2016 to September 2020. Sports play an integral part of culture in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Cricket is the most popular spectator sport in the state. Other popular sports include kabaddi and kho kho, which are played in rural areas, and field hockey, badminton, and table tennis, which are more common in urban areas, schools, and colleges. Satya Pal Singh is an Indian politician. He previously served as Minister of State for Human Resource Development responsible for Higher Education and Minister of State in the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
