Chandrakant Khaire is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Shiv Sena political party from Aurangabad. He was elected consecutively for 4 terms in Lok Sabha representing Auragabad for 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. He was two time MLA from Aurangabad West in 1990 and 1995. He had also served as cabinet minister in Maharashtra state government from 1995 to 1999 in the Shiv Sena Government.

He is the president of the Republican Party of India (A), a splinter group of the Republican Party of India and has its roots in the Scheduled Castes Federation led by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar since 1999. Currently, he is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India since 2016 and represents Maharashtra in Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's Parliament since 2014. Previously, he was Lok Sabha MP from Pandharpur from 1999 to 2009 and from Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha constituency from 1998 to 1999. Nitin Jairam Gadkari is an Indian politician from Maharashtra who is the current Minister for Road Transport & Highways in the Government of India. Gadkari earlier served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2009 to 2013. He has been a Member of Legislative Assembly from Malad assembly constituency in Mumbai from 1990 to 2009. He was state minister for home in Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party Government.

Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis is an Indian politician who is serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 30 June 2022 alongside Ajit Pawar who was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the 5th time on 2 July 2023. He also served as the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 31 October 2014 to 12 November 2019, Leader of the Opposition, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from 2019 to 2022 and the President of BJP, Maharashtra state unit from 2013 to 2015. Having been sworn in at the age of 44, he is the second-youngest Chief Minister in Maharashtra's history after Sharad Pawar. He served a 5-day long second term as Chief Minister during the 2019 Maharashtra political crisis, before resigning on 28 November 2019. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Fadnavis has represented the Nagpur South West constituency in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly since 2009 and Nagpur West from 1999 to 2009. He was also Mayor of Nagpur from 1997 to 2001.


Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil is an Indian politician, and a 7-time undefeated MLA from Shirdi Vidhan Sabha Constituency in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. He is currently the Minister for Revenue, in the Government of Maharashtra and was the 1st Minister sworn in the Eknath Shinde ministry expansion, after Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis in the Cabinet Expansion held on 9 August 2022. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil has been a member of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha since 1995. He was elected in the 2014 with 1,21,459 votes and most recently in 2019 with record breaking 1,32,316 votes.

Diwakar Raote is a leader of Shiv Sena from Maharashtra. On 5 December 2014 Raote took charge as the Cabinet Minister of Transport in Maharashtra Government. He is also the guardian minister of Parbhani and Nanded Districts. Earlier he was entrusted with the responsibility of establishing the organization in Marathwada after the party's decision in 1985 to expand to whole Maharashtra. He became Mayor of Mumbai in 1991. In Narayan Rane ministry, he was a cabinet minister of Revenue, Government of Maharashtra.

National Highway 161A, commonly as NH 161A, is a National Highway running through states of Karnataka and Maharashtra, with a total length 507 Kilometres that connects Akot, Maharashtra to Bidar, Karnataka. National Highway 161A joins the cities of Akot, Akola, Barshitakli, Mangrulpir, Manora, Digras, Arni, Mahur, Kinwat, Himayatnagar, Mudkhed, Waghala, Mukhed, Maharashtra–Karnataka border in central southern India with each other.
