Miss Malawi is a national beauty pageant in Malawi. It began in the 1970s in Malawi and was later suspended, commencing again in 2001. [1]

After reviving in 2001 the pageant continued to crown a Miss Malawi until 2012. It was managed by Carver Bhima's company Events Management. [2] Since 2016, the contest has been managed by Nation Publications and Zodiak Broadcasting Station.
At the 2012 Miss World, Susan Mtegha pushed Miss New Zealand, Collette Lochore, during the opening headshot of the pageant, claiming that Miss New Zealand was in her space. [3] This action caused a stir throughout the media.

The Miss South Carolina competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of South Carolina in the Miss America pageant. Miss World 2006, the 56th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 September 2006 at the Sala Kongresowa, the main 2,897-seat auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. It was the first time ever that the pageant was held in the Continental Europe and a European city other than London, United Kingdom, having previously been held there in 2002 after the Nigeria Controversy. The pageant officially concluded after Taťána Kuchařová from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2006 by outgoing titleholder Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland.
The Miss Delaware competition is the pageant that selects the representative of Delaware in the Miss America pageant.
