Miss Sierra Leone is a national Beauty pageant in Sierra Leone. The pageant constantly recruits the official winner to Miss World. In under Miss Sierra Leone Ltd. the pageant is sponsored by the government of Sierra Leone in Freetown.

Titleholders

The Winner of Miss Sierra Leone represents her country at Miss World pageant. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent. In 1986, Alice Matta Fefegula was the first Miss World contestant to represent Sierra Leone. In 1990, Sia Matturi became the first University student to win the title, and though she did not compete that year in Miss World, she became the first titleholder to win an international title by winning Miss Africa 1990 in Banjul, The Gambia.

Miss World 2013, the 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 28 September 2013 at Bali International Convention Center, South Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. It was the first time in Southeast Asia and it also was the first time in the pageant's history that the event was held in a Muslim majority country. Contestants from 127 countries and territories competed in this year's Miss World pageant, marking the biggest turnout for any beauty pageant globally as of 2024. Yu Wenxia of China crowned her successor Megan Young of the Philippines at the end of the event, marking the only time to date that the Philippines has won the Miss World title. This victory also made the Philippines the third country to win all of the Big Four international beauty pageants.

Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 December 2016, at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975.

Miss International 2018, the 58th Miss International pageant, was held on 9 November 2018, at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The pageant was established in 2016 and the foundation held in 2012 and is considered the biggest pageant in Sierra Leone.

The title was first mentioned in 2017 when Rubie Timbo, who was affiliated with Swadu Beckley's pageant organizer IAMSL Pageant, was appointed to represent the country in the Miss Grand International contest in Vietnam.
