Moorefield is a town in Independence County, Arkansas, United States. It was named after Jesse A. Moore who owned most of the land in the area of the town at that time. The population was 137 at the 2010 census. [3]
Moorefield is located approximately 4 miles (6 km) east of Batesville at the intersection of Arkansas highways 233 and 69. Sulphur Rock is about four miles to the east along Route 69. Moorefield Creek flows past the north side of the town. [4]

There were 68 housing units at an average density of 21.7/km2 (56.4/mi2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.88% White, 0.62% Native American, and 2.50% from two or more races.
There were 64 households, out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.5% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 23.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.94.
