Music for Men received generally positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has received an average score of 69, based on 26 reviews. [4] The album's production was criticized due to its "loud" sound quality. [15] In 2010, Music for Men earned Gossip a nomination for Outstanding Music Artist at the 21st GLAAD Media Awards. [16]

Commercial performance

Music for Men was successful in Europe, with sales of 280,000 copies in France alone, where it spent 138 weeks on the chart. [17] [18] It sold 42,000 copies in the United States as of December 2012. [19]

Au cœur du stade is the fourth live album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released by Sony Music on 27 August 1999. It was recorded during two sold-out concerts at the Stade de France in Paris in June 1999. Dion made music history with these two concerts, becoming the first artist in history to perform for more than 90,000 spectators, with a grand total of 180,000 ticketholders over the two nights. The album features primarily French-language songs, mainly from S'il suffisait d'aimer (1998), but also includes "My Heart Will Go On" and "Let's Talk About Love". Au cœur du stade topped the charts in Francophone countries and was certified double platinum in France, platinum in Belgium and Switzerland, and gold in Canada.

Oracular Spectacular is the debut studio album by the American band MGMT, released on October 2, 2007, by RED Ink and physically on January 22, 2008, by Columbia. It was produced by Dave Fridmann and is the band's first release of new content, being recorded from March to April 2007. Promotion for the album started as early as June 2007, when the song "Weekend Wars" was given away in summer issues of free monthly magazine Nöjesguiden in Stockholm, Sweden. Matching CDs could be picked up for free in all stores in three different shopping malls around Stockholm from June 26 to July 31. The album was also promoted with three singles: "Time to Pretend", "Electric Feel" and "Kids".
