The Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), also known as simply Newport Theater, is a performing arts center on the grounds of Newport World Resorts in Pasay, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is a modern multi-purpose theater named after its location in the Newport Mall and entertainment complex connected to the integrated resort in the 25-hectare (62-acre) Newport City township. The 1,500-seat facility opened in 2010 and holds the widest stage in the Philippines. [1] It is one of the three major performing arts venues in Metro Manila that plays host to both touring and locally-produced musicals, live stage shows, concerts, and regular televised events such as awards ceremonies and pageants. The theater was inaugurated in November 2010 a year after the Newport Mall opened on August 28, 2009. [4] It was designed by Joseph Sy & Associates of Hong Kong and won Perspective Awards-Certificate of Excellence and the Asia Pacific Interior Design Silver Award in 2011, as well as Best Theatrical Venue from BroadwayWorld Philippines in 2012. [2] [5] It features an elegant vestibule adorned by crystal chandeliers which was designed by Filipino sculptor Impy Pilapil. [2]

The theater houses 1,500 of orchestra, balcony and premiere seats in an amphiteater-style arrangement with wide sloping corridors for ease of access. [1] It has the widest stage of all the performing arts venues in the country and also features a revolving stage. It is home to one of the largest LED walls in Southeast Asia. [3] In addition to the gigantic LED screen used for video backdrops, the theater is also equipped with two Euro-LED screens with 3D effects, 26 fly lines, and intelligent lighting consisting of 87 moving heads and 311 conventional, strobe and follow spots. The theater also plays host to The Voice of the Philippines , Pinoy Big Brother , the finale of Your Face Sounds Familiar seasons 1 and 2, the finale of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids season 1, the finale of Tawag ng Tanghalan season 1, and Idol Philippines . [17] [18] [19] [20] The theater also hosted Banana Split: 7th Bananaversary on October 17 and 24, 2015, [21] and the 24th Asian Television Awards in January 2020. [22]

Tawag ng Tanghalan is a 1953 Philippine amateur singing competition currently airing as a segment of the noon time program, It's Showtime on ABS-CBN. It airs on the Kapamilya Channel, a simulcast on A2Z, All TV, GMA Network and its sister channel, GTV as well as on online streaming platforms such as Facebook and YouTube via Showtime Online Ü, Kapamilya Online Live and Kapuso Stream every Monday to Saturday. Dubbed as "Your All-Time Favorite Search for Outstanding Amateur Talents", the competition is open to Filipino contestants from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and overseas.

The fourth season of The Voice Kids is a Philippine reality singing competition on ABS-CBN. Lea Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac reprised their roles as coaches, while Sarah Geronimo returned as a coach for the fourth season, replacing Sharon Cuneta who left the show to focus on her other projects.

Ang Huling El Bimbo: a musical featuring the songs of the most iconic 90's band popularly known as Ang Huling El Bimbo, is a jukebox musical written by Dingdong Novenario, featuring the hit songs of the Filipino band Eraserheads. It features the lyrics and melodies of at least 40 of the band's songs, including the titular song. Dexter Santos directed and choreographed the musical, with Myke Salomon serving as its musical director. The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rodel Colmenar, provided the music, accompanied by a live band. The set design is by Gino Gonzales, with lighting by Monino Duque.

Angela Ken Tavares Rojas, better known as Angela Ken, is a Filipino singer-songwriter, dancer, occasional actress and influencer. She gained acclaim on social networking service TikTok. After releasing her single "Ako Naman Muna", she signed with Star Magic, a talent agency under ABS-CBN Corporation. Angela is also a member of the Squad Plus. In 2022, Angela made her acting debut in the iWantTFC musical series titled Lyric and Beat as Verlyn.

Bituing Walang Ningning is a 1985 Filipino drama musical film directed by Emmanuel Borlaza from a komiks serial written by Nerissa G. Cabral and adapted into a screenplay by Orlando R. Nadres. The film stars Sharon Cuneta, Christopher de Leon, and Cherie Gil, with the supporting cast includes Tommy Abuel, Jay Ilagan, Joel Torre, and Chanda Romero.
