6th Assembly (2007–2011)

The 6th National Assembly (2007–2011) was inaugurated on 5 June 2007. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) won three Senate and six House seats. The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) won three House seats.

Dahiru Awaisu Kuta was a Nigerian politician who elected Senator for the Niger East constituency of Niger State, Nigeria, taking office in 2007 till his death in 2014. He was a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

The 2023 Nasarawa State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Nasarawa State, concurrent with elections to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election, as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives; with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.

Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo is a Nigerian politician, a businessman, a philanthropist and a member of the 10th Senate from Nasarawa South Senatorial District on the ticket of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He was a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly from 2003 to 2011 and the Speaker Nasarawa State House Of Assembly from 2003 to 2007.
