The Oklahoma Sooners men's gymnastics team represents the University of Oklahoma and competes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. The team has won 12 NCAA National Championships, most recently in 2018. [2]

The Oklahoma Sooners are the athletic teams that represent the University of Oklahoma, located in Norman. The 19 men's and women's varsity teams are called the "Sooners", a reference to a nickname given to the early participants in the Land Run of 1889, which initially opened the Unassigned Lands in the future state of Oklahoma to non-native settlement. The university's athletic teams compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s Division I in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The university's current athletic director is Joe Castiglione.

Barthold Wayne Conner is a retired American Olympic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and won two gold medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He owns and operates the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, Oklahoma, along with his wife, Romanian Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comăneci. In addition, both Comăneci and Conner are highly involved with the Special Olympics.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jonathan Horton</span> American artistic gymnast

Jonathan Alan Horton is a former American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and is the 2008 Olympic silver medalist on high bar, the 2010 World all-around bronze medalist, a two-time Olympian, a two-time U.S. National All-Around Champion, and a 17-time medalist at the U.S. National Championships. At the 2008 Olympics, he also won a bronze medal with his U.S. teammates in the team competition. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he qualified for the high bar event final and finished in sixth place. In 2016, he had surgery on his left rotator cuff and as a result was unable to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Jacob William Dalton is a retired American gymnast who was a member of the Oklahoma Sooners men's gymnastics team and the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He represented the United States at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Chris Brooks (gymnast)</span> American gymnast

Christopher Dean Brooks is a retired American gymnast who represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. He is now assistant coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks NCAA gymnastics team. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and won four gold medals at the 2012 Pacific Rim Championships. He has trained alongside Olympic and World Championships medalist Jonathan Horton as a junior, college, and senior elite gymnast. On August 17, 2017, he announced his retirement from artistic gymnastics.

Samuel Anthony Mikulak is an American gymnastics coach. A retired artistic gymnast, he was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He is a six-time U.S. national all-around champion, the 2018 World bronze medalist on the horizontal bar, and a three-time Olympian. He is also an eight-time NCAA champion, winning the team, individual all-around, and several individual event titles at the 2011, 2013, and 2014 NCAA Men's Gymnastics championships. In 2023, he started serving as a gymnastics coach at EVO Gymnastics.

Margaret Mary Nichols is an American former collegiate artistic gymnast. She was the ninth NCAA gymnast to complete a Gym Slam, the first to do so for Oklahoma, and the first NCAA gymnast to have achieved it twice.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Oklahoma Sooners women's gymnastics</span>

The Oklahoma Sooners women's gymnastics team represents the University of Oklahoma in NCAA competition and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Sooners have won nineteen conference championships, 15 NCAA Regional championships, and have appeared in 21 NCAA National Championships. In 2014, the Sooners won the program's first-ever team national title in the first-ever NCAA gymnastics championships tie, tying with Florida with a score of 198.175. The Sooners have had eighteen individual national champions, 202 NCAA All-Americans, and four Honda Awards.

Jennifer Ester Rowland is an American gymnastics coach and former gymnast. Since 2015, she has been the head coach of the Florida Gators gymnastics program, succeeding Rhonda Faehn in 2015. Previously, she was with the Auburn Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners women's gymnastics teams.

Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2017 and represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was a member of the bronze medal winning team at the 2023 World Championships.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Brody Malone</span> American gymnast (born 2000)

John Brody Malone is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2020 and has represented the United States at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. He is a three-time United States national all-around champion. On horizontal bar, he is the 2021 World Championships bronze medalist and the 2022 World Champion. He is a ten-time NCAA National Champion, and a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Shane Michael Wiskus is an American artistic gymnast who is a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and has been named as an alternative for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Additionally, he represented the United States at the 2019 World Championships and is a three-time NCAA Champion.

The 2020 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Westgate Las Vegas in Las Vegas from February 20 to February 22, 2020.

The 2019 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas from February 15 to February 17, 2019.

The 2022 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. Like the previous year it included both men's and women's artistic gymnastics.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Khoi Young</span> American gymnast

Khoi Alexander Young is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2022 and was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships. He currently competes in collegiate gymnastics for Stanford. He is the 2023 Pan American champion on pommel horse. In June 2024, he was named an alternate to the U.S. men's team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Frederick Nathaniel Richard is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2023 World all-around bronze medalist, as well as the 2021 and 2022 Junior Pan American Champion. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2022 and represented the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics where he won a bronze medal in the team event.

The 2024 Winter Cup, known officially as the Kentucky Winter Classic, was an artistic gymnastics competition held at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 23–25, 2024. As in recent years, the competition included men's and women's gymnastics.

Aydon "Fuzzy" Benas is an American artistic gymnast. He is a member of the USA national team and is currently competing for the Oklahoma Sooners in NCAA gymnastics.

Emre Dodanlı is a Turkish artistic gymnast. He represented Turkey at the 2024 Olympic Games.
