Hero of Tajikistan

The title of Hero of Tajikistan is the highest state award in Tajikistan, being first awarded in 1996. [2]

People's Writer

The title of People's Writer is awarded to those who have made advancements in the field of literature. It has been awarded to writers such as Abdumalik Bahori and Jalol Ikrami. [3] It was unveiled on 31 July 2001. [4]

People's Poet

The title of People's Poet is awarded to those who have made advancements in the field of poetry. Among the notable People's Poets was Zulfiya Atoulloeva (2010 [5] ), Gulrukhsor Safieva, Aminjan Shokuhi, Mirzo Tursunzoda, Qutbi Kirom, [6] Loiq Sher-Ali and Gulnazar Keldi

The Order of Ismoili Somoni is the highest distinction of the Republic, named after Isma'il ibn Ahmad. Notable recipients include Ahmad Shah Massoud, [7] Vladimir Putin, [8] and Ban Ki-moon. [9]

Their primary task is ensuring public safety and security, which is similar to the tasks of the Tajik Internal Troops. The National Guard also takes part in ceremonial duties in Tajikistan.

The Border Troops, also called the Border Service, is the border guard of Tajikistan. Functioning under the State Committee for National Security as part of the Armed Forces, the border guards are trained by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, along with the Afghan Border Police. A higher education college is located in the capital, Dushanbe, the Border Troops Academy, and a Border Troops Training Centre is located south of it, in the Rudaki District. The main control station of the border troops is the Border Management Center of the Main Border Guard Directorate of the SCNS.

The Ministry of Defence of Tajikistan is the defence ministry of Tajikistan, overseeing the Tajik Ground Forces, Air Force, Mobile Forces. It also oversees purchases of equipment for the Tajik military. The other branches of the military, such as the Border and Internal Troops, are overseen by the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan. The Defence Ministry was founded in 1993 with Russian assistance.

The Tajik Internal Troops are the internal security force of Tajikistan, under the Interior Ministry (VKD). They act as the primary reserve force of the Tajik Armed Forces, and are in charge of homeland defence, along with the Tajik Border Troops. The Internal Troops are led by Major General Negmatullo Kurbanov.

Starshy praporshchik is a rank used by the Russian Ground Forces and a number of former communist states. The rank is a non-commissioned officer's and is equivalent to Starshy michman in navies. It is usually equivalent to warrant officer class 1 or sergeant major in English-speaking armies.

The Security Council of Tajikistan is a Tajik government consultative group under the country's President's Executive Office. which advises the president on national security issues and matters. It was formed in 2003 with the head of being the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was formerly and independent organization until June 2018, when it was subordinated to the president. The Secretary of the Security Council since March 2019 has been Nasrullo Mahmudzoda. It is essentially a constituent body of the military and security leadership to work out solutions for the implementation of domestic and foreign policy in the national security field.

The 7th Airborne Assault Brigade is a paratrooper unit of the Tajik Mobile Forces. The Mobile Forces act as the special forces of Tajikistan, subservient to the Defense Ministry. Located in Dushanbe, it forms the backbone of the mobile forces.
