Orders, decorations and medals of South Ossetia is a system of awards of the Republic of South Ossetia established in 2007. Decorations are divided into two grades: orders and medals, and the medals can be divided between state awards and departmental awards. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Hero of the Russian Federation, also unofficially called Hero of Russia, is the highest honorary title of the Russian Federation. The title comes with a Gold Star medal, an insignia of honour that identifies recipients.
