Since 1975 the former city of Herbede is a part of the city of Witten. As one of the eight boroughs of Witten, it is now called Witten-Herbede. Before the incorporation with Witten in 1975, Herbede was a city in the administrative district Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis. Herbede is placed about 5 kilometres southwest of the city of Witten in the southern Ruhr area in the Ruhr valley and has about 13,100 inhabitants today. Herbede has good bus connections and is served by bus lines 320, 374, 375, SB38, SB67 and at the weekend by night bus NE17. There are direct bus connections to central Witten, Witten-Annen, Witten-Rüdinghausen, Witten-Heven, Ruhr University Bochum, Wetter, Gevelsberg, Ennepetal, Hattingen and Wuppertal.

The Miami Canal, or C-6 Canal, flows from Lake Okeechobee in the U.S. state of Florida to its terminus at the Miami River, which flows through downtown Miami. The canal flows in a south and southeasterly direction for approximately 77 miles, and passes through three counties: Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade. It was constructed in the early part of the 20th century to drain the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA). Removing the canal was proposed as part of the Restoration of the Everglades.
The Stadion Woudestein, is a multi-use stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is currently used mainly for football matches and is the home stadium of the Excelsior men's the women's teams. The stadium is able to hold 4,500 people and was built in 1902. It remains one of the smallest stadiums in the Netherlands that is used by a professional football club. The stadium has a stand named after Robin van Persie, who played for the Excelsior youth academy from 1997 to 1999.
Mayaro is an unincorporated community in Butte County, California. It lies on Camp Creek at an elevation of 1522 feet and is located at 39°49′27″N121°25′20″W. A post office operated at Mayaro from 1930 to 1956. Mayaro was the site of a popular lodge that opened in 1928 and closed in the early 1970s.
