Park Sung-woo (born 22 August 1971) is a former badminton player from South Korea who later became a national team coach.
Park won the men's singles title at the 1995 Asian Championships. He also won the 1995 Swedish Open. That same year,he made history in Korean badminton as the first ever South Korean to win a silver medal in the men's singles event at the World Championships. [1]
In 1996,he finished as a semifinalist at the All England Open. At the 1996 Summer Olympics,he reached the quarterfinals. He reached a career high of world number 2 in World Ranking. [1]
At the national level,Park who played for Dangjin,won the men's singles title at the 1996 Korean National Sports Festival. [2]
After retiring from international tournaments,Park started a career as a Japanese national coach in 2006,and later moved back to his country,also as a national coach. [1] [3]

Lee Hyun-il is a former badminton player from South Korea. He is a former World and Asian Championships bronze medalist,and was part of South Korean team that won the 2003 Sudirman Cup as well the gold medals at the 2002 and 2014 Asian Games.
Kim Dong-moon is a retired South Korean badminton player who won major titles between the mid-1990s and the mid-2000s (decade),and widely regarded as one of finest men's doubles and mixed doubles players in badminton history. Kim captured the world attention when he unexpectedly winning the gold medal in the mixed doubles event with Gil Young-ah at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. On his path to greatness,he won gold medals both in men's and mixed doubles at the 1999 World Championships. Kim and Ra Kyung-min,partnered up to become one of the strongest mixed doubles pairings of that time. They did not drop a single match from April to November in 2003. They won 10 straight victorious tournaments:9 consecutive Grand Prix events and one World Championship title. Their excellent results in 2003 earned Kim and Ra the Eddie Choong Player of the Year award. He captured this award previously by himself in 2002. Despite their domination,the golden couple crashed in the second round against the Danish partnership of Jonas Rasmussen and Rikke Olsen at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Kim however redeemed himself with a gold medal in men's doubles with Ha Tae-kwon. After the 2004 Olympics,Kim retired from playing and married his former mixed doubles partner,Ra in 2005. Kim is currently the only South Korean player to have ever won Olympic gold in both the men's and mixed doubles events. He was inducted into the BWF Hall of Fame in 2009.
Ra Kyung-min is a badminton player from South Korea. Ra was a dominating mixed doubles team with her partner Kim Dong-moon from the late 1990s to early 2000s,resulting in a 70–match winning streak and 14 consecutive titles in international tournaments.

Kim Jae-hwan is a South Korean badminton player. He graduated from the Jeonju Life Science High School,and now educated at the Wonkwang University. In his junior career,he had collected a gold and two bronzes at the World Junior Championships,and also three silvers and a bronze at the Asian Junior Championships. In 2016,he won the men's doubles title with his partnered Choi Sol-gyu at the World University Championships in Russia. At the same year,he won the BWF Grand Prix Gold tournament at the Korea Masters in the men's doubles event with Ko Sung-hyun. In 2017,he competed at the Taipei Summer Universiade and won the men's doubles gold together with Seo Seung-jae.
Kim Ji-hyun,also known as Jihyun Marr,is a former South Korean badminton player. She participated at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. Kim who affiliated with the Samsung Electro-Mechanics team,won the women's singles title at the National Championships tournament in 1997 and 1998. She announced her retirement from the international tournament after the 2001 Korea Open.
Hwang Sun-ho is a former South Korean badminton player. He played badminton since in elementary school in Jeonju with his teammates former Olympic gold medalists,Kim Dong-moon and Ha Tae-kwon. Hwang affiliated with SEMCO team since 1997,emerge as national team singles ace after Lee Kwang-jin,Kim Hak-kyun and Park Sung-woo retired. He was part of the national team that won the gold medal in 1997 East Asian Games,and a bronze medal at the 1998 Asian Games. The best individual achievements in his career was being a champion in 1999 Hungarian International tournament in the men's singles event. Hwang represented his country competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the men's singles event,reaching into the third round. Hwang joined the conscription in South Korea for two years,and returned to play with SEMCO team. In 2004,he started his badminton career in Japan,invited by Park Sung-woo who was a coach there. He returned to Korea in 2005,and began a career as a coach in Hwasun County. He then became a badminton coach in Gyeonggi Province,and also member of Gyeonggi Badminton Federation. Hwang graduated from Wonkwang University with Physical Education and Sports Science degree.
Heo Kwang-hee is a South Korean badminton player who was educated at the Dankook University. He was selected to join the national team in 2012,and joined the Samsung Electro-Mechanics team in 2014. Heo was the bronze medalists at the 2012 World Junior Championships in the boys' singles and team event,and Asian Junior Championships in the team event. Heo later won the boys' singles and mixed team gold medals at the 2013 World Junior Championships,and the mixed team silver medal at the Asian Junior Championships. In the senior level tournament,Heo was the semi-finalists at the 2017 U.S. and 2018 New Zealand Open. He competed at the 2018 Asian Games and at the 2020 Summer Olympics,is best known for upsetting top-seeded Kento Momota in the group stage of the latter tournament.
Jang Young-soo is a South Korean badminton player. He was the gold medalists at the 2002 Busan Asian Games. Jang who educated at the Inha University won the men's singles title at the Summer National Championships in 2003. He later won the 51st and 55th National Championships men's singles title. He won his first international title at the 2003 Hungarian International tournament. In December 2018,Jang who is a trainer in Gimcheon city,was appointed as a South Korea national coach.
An Se-young is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju,who won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. She was named 2019’s Most Promising Player of the Year and 2023's Female Player of the Year by the BWF. She won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships,making history as the first Korean women's singles player to win the World Championships title. She then clinched the women's singles gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. An was also a part of South Korea’s gold medal winning teams at the 2022 Uber Cup and at the 2022 Asian Games.
